Will this fan fit my Intel Core 2 Quad? The Geometry looks the same but I want to make sure before ordering.

I believe it will work with any Intel chip, I have it installed on a mini ITX MB with a I5 and it fits no problem, runs very quiet, no problems!

Will this CPU cooler work with an LGA 1150 socket?

Yes, I'm using it on a i4570S, the stock cooler did not keep the processor cool enough when doing floating point. (and it is a 65W processor!)

will I have to use the back plate ? I have LGA 1155 I would not to have to remove my motherboard .

I have a brand new motherboard so i used the back plate with the cooler, If there is a backplate in your motherboard it should work also.
