Question 1

How can I hook this up to HD activity light? I have already Y'd my HD indicator cable and am getting up to 6v, but it wont power the light. I get 12v off the main power, light works fine. Also works testing with a 9v battery. I have checked and tested all connections? Is there a voltage minimum for this product? Any feedback is greatly appreciated

If I remember right, I installed this light in a customer's computer a few years ago.  I had difficulty connecting this unit to the power supply.  I would check to see if any of the connections may have been hindered, otherwise you would be much more fortunate finding an answer direct from manufacturer.

Do you need to hook up both 4 pins or just one?

one is sufficient. The 2nd just provides an alternative power option.
