Will this work with the receiver I already have with my Logitech wireless keyboard?

In the specifications on Logitech mouse M310 they list a Nano-receiver. In the specifications for the Logitech Wireless Combo MK520 it uses the M310 mouse and the K520 keyboard. They list a Logitech Unifying receiver with this. Logitech is using the Unifying receiver to connect multiple devices so check and see if you're keyboard uses this Unifying receiver.

Doe's the Logitech M310 work with windows 8.1? Says XP, Vista etc but doesn't say Win. 8.1

I installed it on my old (2007) Toshiba Laptop running Windows 8.1.1 with Logitech Setpoint Control Center 6.65.62 and Driver 5.80.4  and it works fine. It also works on Windows 7. All software is up to date. Go for it. Its a nice mouse - as are M505 and LX5 on my two other PC's

How long is the battery life? They say it'll last 12 months under 'normal use', but what if I leave the mouse on all the time?

I bought this for my son. He did not use it all the time nor did he leave it on a long time. My son says he has not changed the batteries since we bought it and still runs on the old batteries.

will this work with windows 8?  i assume there is a driver that can be downloaded, but it isn't listed as a compatible OS for this item.

I put this mouse on a Windows 7 machine.  However, I do have a Logitech M325 mouse on a Windows 8 machine and it is working perfectly.  In truth, I don't see why the M310 wouldn't work with Windows 8.

The mouse takes 2 AA batteries that are housed on the underside. One pair of batteries should last about 1 year with regular use. Very energy-efficient.
