Does it work with windows 8 as well?

Works fine on 8.1 here.   Plug and play.    I'm on a laptop and I have the setting "disable touch pad when external mouse is detected" set, and just plugging in the dongle makes the touch pad turn off.   Turning off the mouse does not turn on the touchpad.

Question 2

Most mice are too small, what are the dimensions of this one?

I really like it.   I had a M305 before and this won has a huge battery life.   I leave it on all the time.  I ALWAYS forget there is an on/off switch.   And I think its a month or so between batteries.  I'm using 2500mah NiMH rechargables.   
I'm 6'1" and have large hands, and I don't think it's small but it is smaller than the one I have on my desktop.   But I've had some that are huge and feel bulky.   
One thing for sure, nobody can mix up mice with this decoration!
It's 2 1/8 " wide where the fingers hit the side rubber grips, and about 3 5/8 " long.

Is this a mini mouse?

Not sure of you definition of mini.    It's approx 2 1/8" wide at the finger grips (a bit more @ the palm area) and 3 5/8" long.   I'm 6'1" with big hands and fits okay for me.
