Does this mouse have the "double click issue" (mouse registers a single click as a double) that plagued the G7, G700, and other Logitech models?

Does it require AA batteries?

The G700 takes one AA sized rechargeable battery (included).  If your on the go and have no time or outlet to recharge it, you can use a standard AA sized battery to keep it going.

Question 3

Does anyone know if Logitech is still using low quality switches in the main buttons?  I have had a G700 before (the older version of this mouse) and another logitech that literally almost out of the box (maybe within a month or two) they begun to do wacko things when you pressed the right or left mouse button from executing a double click to not being able to click and drag at all no matter what your PC settings were set to and right now I am having to literally pick up my mouse and slam it against the desk before the right and left click switches work correctly and this only fixes them temporarily.

I've been using this version for a few years now and I haven't had any problems with the mouse buttons.

The only issue I have is battery life. At least the one I have the battery life only really lasts for 8-ish hours. I go to a friends house a couple times a month and in 6-7 hours when I get home it is pretty low on battery power.

My previous mouse, a MX Revolution I believe (which I still use at work) I can use for 3-4 total work days without it needing to be charged. I replaced it with the current one because it started having the issues you mentioned with clicking, although they actually started going away after a few weeks at work.

Has anyone tried AA lithium batteries to extend the battery life and if so will the batteries charge while in the mouse over the cable like the NMH batteries?

overall i have been very disappointed by this mouse. the battery only lasts a few days and the mouse feels very cheap overall.. i got this to replace my MX Revolution and i ended up giving it away and going back to my revolution..

to answer your question, it wont charge while plugged in with lithium batteries (at least the ones that i tried)

if you want to get a great logitech mouse get the Logitech MX Master.. it a lot to pay for a mouse but so far its the only mouse thats better than the revolution.

Is this mouse quiet? Is the clicking too audible rather?

Yep. You can hear it. Best mouse ever though. It has a charger but I keep rechargeables around. I play war thunder with it and working video, it has a few speeds since going across 3 X 24" Monitors is a long way to move a mouse.  This will eat up your batteries on high speed but you can plug it in for an hour or change the battery. I've owned alot of Logitech mouseseses. This one best buy far. I would get a new one if this one died.

Question 6

Has anyone else who have owned this mouse have problems with the buttons?  My buttons super stiff now (top buttons, side buttons are the same)  This includes the right and left, the wheel, the button that makes the wheel "free" flow or click, the profile switching button and the 3 buttons on the top left.

Yes, you can change the wheel to either endless scroll or scroll a few lines at a time.

So I just bought this mouse for my new computer that runs on Windows 8.1 and I can not find where the location for setting up profiles for it? Any help is appreciated. Also is there a way to make the scroll wheel less sensitive because if the mouse gets moved even a little, the scroll wheel moves. Thanks.

You need to download the Logitech Gaming Software (Under Support on Logitech's website) to set up profiles.

As far as the scroll wheel being too loose... Make sure it's not in free-spin mode (The larger button right below the wheel). Even in click-to-click mode the wheel is normally a bit lighter than most other mice I've used, but I've never had a problem with it moving itself even in free-spin.

If it's spinning itself even in click-to-click mode you may want to RMA it or use Logitech's warranty, since that sounds like a defect.

Is this a Left handed or a Right Handed mouse? (Or both?)
