It should be fine I believe we are running ours at work with an extender. Granted it's not a 16 foot extender. Sorry I can't be more helpful

A photo shows this web cam extended 9" above the base. Is the function of higher or lower a emote control function or is it a Static piece you put in place manually? if it is automated raise and lower does the pan and zoom function still operate.

the camera in question the 9 inch extension does not extend you have to manually put it in as for the pan and zoom its all built into the head of the camera camera itself only operates with anything that requires a camera for conference calling it cannot take self photos unless you are in a call using Skype paltalk or any other type of messaging serviceit cannot be used independently without the servicethe microphone and speaker can be used with anything if you set it for it if you disconnect the camera completely it can still be used with microphone and speaker

yes and no honestly i would say save your money if you own an iphone or android with a good camera those are better quality download epocam on phone follow instructions
