How can I install the Webcam?  There is no disk with the product.

Google Logitech c310 Webcam drivers. Should see their website. Find the tab that says support, then select downloads. There is a pull down, select your version of Windows. Install drivers from there. I always download latest drivers from manufacturer on anything, never use the disc!

Is there an extender cord available? This comes with a five foot cord. I need 12 to 15 feet.

Extender cords are certainly available.  
See item #N82E16812107810 for a 6 foot extender for under five bucks.  If you get longer than that you need to have a repeater because the signal gets too weak on long cords.  Item #N82E16812270479 or N82E16812802076 would be what you are looking for.  I've had the usb 2 version of the Bytcc one for a while now and it works just as advertised.  
This webcam is actually pretty good too.  Works wonderfully on Windows and Linux (XP, Windows 7, Kubuntu 13.04 & 13.10 - used in Skype and Cheese).

I don't see why not. It's not specific to a computer manufacture. As long as you are running the recommended operating system for the webcam, you'll be fine.

Is this webcam Mac compatible? The specs only mention Windows.

"Logitech makes no mention of Mac compatibility, but online users report both the camera and integrated microphone work perfectly fine in Mac OS X Snow Leopard due to its compliance to USB Video Class (UVC) standards."

I only needed a 6 foot extension cable but you can run USB  up to 15ft.

Yes, though if you plan on using it to record audio on a regular basis, you may want to consider investing in a dedicated microphone of higher quality.

Of course it is. Ten years ago it was hit or miss if hardware would work on linux. Now-days it's hit or miss whether a driver for windows can even be located let alone installed. Plug and play on Linux is a given. Seriously, hardware (exempting Video cards) works better/easier on Linux than Windows.

How's the audio in this webcam ?? and do you think I can use this for recording lectures ??

I don't know anything about lectures but this mic does have good sound quality. I rather use the mic on the webcam than the one on my Razer headset. I'd say its above average. Picture quality is amazing as well, like crystal clear. Even though I say this I think you should buy a mic if you are solely recording your voice. But if youre on Skype or something like that, this webcam should work fine. Hope this helps!
