Yes it is.  Works perfectly fine for me.  The upgrade had reset some settings I previously had in place but once I reconfigured everything it continues to work just as great as it did before.

How does this camera attach to my pc monitor?

As you can see in the picture, the little black plastic piece under the front hooks onto the monitor. The back part is hinged to bend down in the back. The camera itself is hinged also to give the direction of lens. 
It's a nice little camera that can also be placed on a tripod.

Do you know of any web cameras that you do not have to install drivers on a windows 8.1 computer?

As far as I know, it does not. In the event that they do, you should be able to install said drivers, assuming you have administrative rights. You don't need to install drivers every time and I can, in fact, guarantee that there are no programs that must be installed to use this.

Is this web cam compatible with mac os?

It should be compatible.  Plug and play should find the drivers right away if it works. If all else fails, the driver CD they gave you with the cam should work, if it came with one that is.  I'm not sure tho.  But don't quot me on that.  Hopes this helps.  Let know if you can.  Thanks mitchlovin

What is the M/N, P/N and PID (which may vary) on the 'cable tag'? I have seen sellers selling item as P/N 960-000971, when in fact the item shipped is 960-000972-Switzerland, or 960-001070.
