No, it connects to the USB on your computer to allow paging in powerpoint presentations.

It will not, in general. If the link is formatted as the "next step" of an animation, then you can achieve the same effect. Think of it more as a remote extension of the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard.

This has worked flawlessly for me on OSX, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 using PowerPoint.

It basically just presents itself to the OS as an input device like a mouse.

You can only get the timer to start.
