Pros: ok, so, a lot of 'audiophiles' complain the high end of this system is weak, lies, i actually run a recording studio out of my garage, and these speakers compare to the monitors i use for my work. the range is full and even, all frequency spectrums are clean and well balanced. 280w is an amazing amount of power for a system this price and the THX certification is well deserved

Cons: if you don't put the sub behind your TV or entertainment stand (like thx specifications recommend) it can be over whelming. it also gets kinda warm, so if it is put behind/under something, give it room to breath (that goes for the bass breath hole, as it will push a lot of air). not good for night or apartment use

Overall Review: id like to point out, the THX certification indicates that this system is rated for the best MOVIE viewing experience, this means movies will sound amazing, games will also sound amazing if they too are THX supported or at least support Dolby surround sound playback, music on the other hand will take adjustments to make work. as THX is for movies...not music. dont get me wrong, these are AMAZING for music, of all styles, i listen to everything from Trance to big band jazz, metal to oldies, and they all sound amazing. Heavy sub and hefty speakers only mean a better magnet coil. and 280w is amazing for a standard room size, unless you are buying for a rather large room (larger than 15x15 with lots of people) 280w is plenty.

Pros: great bass and treble with the right sound card....im using the x-fi extreme gamer which gives you much more control over these speakers than the control pod. replaced my klipsch promedia 4.1 with these and couldn't be happier. Sub has much tighter bass than the klipsch one. Unbelievable deal for $90, get them while the rebate is still good!!!!

Cons: requires a bit of fine tuning with your sound card to really get these speakers to shine...only a 6.5" sub, wish it was 8 :( other than that these are a great deal

Pros: You cannot beat the quality of these speakers without spending a LOT more. I got a $40 rebate so these speakers ended up costing me only about $80. They sound great and also look good. They are plenty powerful for even a large room.

Cons: As others have mentioned, this system comes with a massive sub that you will probably want to turn down a bit relative to the other speakers. While the system is loud enough to fill a large room, you would need to splice some wires for this as the cables are not very long.

Overall Review: Controller doohickey is handy but does have a bunch of LEDs that are always on. My room nowadays has steady and blinking lights everywhere that I have to cover up at night to get to sleep.

Pros: Sound is increadiable, Very lound on high. I d/led the song somone else mentioned in the reviews "I love big speakers" everything on my desk was vibrating, I have a 19" crt monitor that was shaking pretty well, ive already watched some movies with great sounds I.E. Matrix, Blade, Independence Day, and The day after tomorrow. I had an increadible experence watching them, felt like I was in the theatre. My wife was actually happy about me getting these shes enjoying the sound quality. Next year will be trying out the 5500's

Overall Review: So glad to see that a sub control on the remote, so much better than crawling under my desk to turn the sub down.

Pros: Bass is pure and clean. Treble is ridiculously clear, especially with the covers off. Beware, this thing cracked my bedroom window at half bass and half volume. This set is an absolute steal for this price! Logitech will continue to get my business.

Cons: they don't cook supper for my family.

Overall Review: Being used with the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatality Pro card and an ASUS P5B Deluxe board.

Pros: The bass on this thing is strong! Yet it isn't overpowering. I moved up from a 25 watt RMS Creative Inspire system and I'll never look back. Surround Sound ROCKS and the speakers still sound like new after over a year of heavy room-pounding work.

Cons: Wires may be a pain at first and the front speaker cables could be a little longer. The controller is also 2x as large as it needs to be, otherwise flawless.

Overall Review: Pair this up with a Creative Audigy or X-Fi card for unsurpassed sound quality. Audiophiles and Gamers will both be extremely happy with this... I'm both.

Pros: I would have to say the sound quality is great, though I have noticed the limitations of the sub doing tone tests, it is a great product. I have watched a few movies in 5.1 and it was just amazing. My roommate thought it was lightning outside at parts of 300. Great buy.

Cons: Noise Complaints by neighbors?

Pros: This is the second set of Z-5300e's I've boughten and both are absolutely amazing. One set I've had over 2 years and still sounds crystal clear. The sub gives you plenty of thump and all 4 speakers give you great surround sound for gaming or movies.

Cons: Absolutely none.

Overall Review: You can't beat the price. Jump on it now, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
