When you're looking for an affordable, high quality 2.1 sound system, Logitech has it. The X-230 system delivers 32W RMS of clean, clear sound. The glossy black satellite speaker housings add a touch of elegance to your desk.
The FDD2 (Frequency Directed Dual Driver) technology in the satellites produces a uniform sound field anywhere in the room. A ported, side-firing sub-woofer moves massive amounts of air for a powerful bass response.
Frequency Directed Dual Driver (FDD2)Logitech's FDD2 dual driver technology produces a uniform soundfield and eliminates uneven responses and hot spots created by conventional dual driver designs.
Dynamic, Real-time bass EqualizationDynamic, real-time bass equalization maximizes bass response while minimizing distortion. Ported subwoofer design displaces more air for deeper bass.
Front ControlThe control speaker (satellite) hosts master volume and subwoofer level controls, as well as headphone jack for the highest convenience.
Pros: Extremely good power output, clearity throughout the volume, linear volume levels, VERY flat repsonse, very high output subwoofer, headphone jack conveinence, and slick design. And look at that price...
Cons: Absolutly nothing.
Overall Review: YEARS of audio work (car and home theater) and my ears are heavily trained to tell good from bad. When I read the reviews and looking for high end but cheap speakers, these won my attention and bought them. It only took me a few carefuly chosen songs to fall in love. The subwoofer is all the way down to match the fronts (I dont like a lot of bass, just a flat response) and no song can beat these speakers up! Put the sub in a corner of some sort, try and face the sub against a wall or somewhere flat for best output and low end.
