Question 1

Malwarebytes anti malware premium, is this a CD/DVD?  I seem to be unable to download anything from the internet?  thought I would try this . . . but if the software is not in the box I will be stuck.

There was a CD/DVD in the box that came with mine along with a card that gave a product id and password.  I didn't have any problems activating it from the CD/DVD.

Question 2

Can it be used on a Windows 10 Machine?  The Specifications tab only mentions up to Windows 8.1.

I personally had it running on a VM version of 10 without problems, but have a friend who is having issues on his installed version. If you go to their site, malwarebytes dot com, there is a downloadable version there that is compatible with 10, for sure.

Question 3

This must work with win 7 and does it remove malware already on computer?

As a Retired IT Guy I can say it is an excellent product and we had clients who were already infected with malware download the free version and suggest they buy full version later. If the problem is not preventing normal boot you will find it to be fairly automatic. Running from Safe mode may be needed to recover from problems which prevent Normal boot ... follow with re-scan when able to Normal boot. Be sure to run a full scan so all folders are checked the first time. To recover a system with mal-ware that is preventing installation of anti-malware software it can be installed on another computer and copy a folder from the good system to the problem one and run it from there. Google for the full procedure.

Question 4

If there is malware already on a system, will it detect during scan and delete it?   Would seem logical it would, but I've been burned before by assuming how it would work.   I have malware viruses and had to reset my system to an earlier date - but want to get them off.   I thought I already had malware protection, but it must be expired.

Hi Gary,

I own and operate a computer business. Just today I took in a machine with malware that was blocking all Internet access, plus most programs. It also blocked MalwareBytes setup program. I was able to get around this by booting into Safe Mode, at which time I installed, updated and ran MalwareBytes. I started with the Chameleon module, which found and removed enough of the malware so that things ran reasonably well when I restarted. After restarting, I was able to run a full scan, which cleaned things up nicely. Then I installed an anti-virus program, which found some more malware/virus modules and removed them. Another trick I use sometimes if I cannot install and run MalwareBytes or an anti-virus program is to remove the hard drive, hook it up to a USB adapter and scan the drive from another computer.

As a follow up, If I download the latest version from Malwarebytes to ensure it is compatible with Windows 10, can I use the key which comes with the product to activate it?

If your license is still good - meaning it has not expired - the product will not asked for a key to activate. And it will update your product automatically.

Question 6

Recieved new Malwarebytes CD by mail already have old version on my pc.  After installing it says do you want to upgrade....so I enter the Key & ID and then it says to enter a valid Key & ID?

The box containing the CD should have also contained a card with the activation code (the new ID and Key that goes with the new CD) printed on it. Enter those during installation and then click Activate. The card I received with my new CD says: If you have difficulty installing, please visit the Malwarebytes website and click on "Support"  for additional assistance. There is a section under the Support link called "How do I activate Malwarebytes Anti-Malware?" It gives detailed instructions on the steps to take to activate the product.

Question 7

My understanding is one license for 3 computers. When I renew the license will it automatically cover all 3 computers?

When you purchase a new license at will have absolutely nothing to do with your old one. As long as you buy another license that covers these computers you'll be fine. The price may change but that's just the results  of time.
But essentially no it will not be automatic you will have to go to each computer manually when you get a new license and punch and then you information it's not hard it takes two seconds

Is this product Mac OSX compatible?

This one no. I believe they make it for Mac so you'd have to check with their website. Hope it helps.
I must recommend Spy Hunter 4 though. This product was OK but SH4 really got rid of malaware and Spyware that was killing my chrome browser.

Question 9

I downloaded the latest Malwarebytes 3.0 premium from their website and it expired.  It's my understanding this white box is the old version, while the orange box is the current one.  Will the key from the old version even work anymore in order to reactivate the latest 3.0 license????

That is a good question, I apologize for not having a definitive answer.  I believe I bought the box version.  From past experience even using an old unused code will get things started, and then you receive notification of a new updated version being available, which will then initiate a new download from the manufacturer, replacing the version you just bought/downloaded from the vendor.
