Question 1

The pictures only show input 1, output, and input 5.  Are the other 3 inputs on the opposite side?

Yes, there are three in HDMI Jack's on the other side. The unit takes up to five HDMI inputs and one HDMI output.  I am watching a show routed through the unit I own. The auto-switching function is backed up by an infrared remote control.  What is really valuable is the remote plug-in infrared sensor which allows the switching unit to be hidden out of sight.  I am pleased with this product.

Does this come with the power supply? Some of the comments indicate it does while others seem to say it does not.

Yes it does, however, I use it without it and it works great. I only use 4 of the 5 but every once in a while I plug my cellphone on hte 5th one and it does work. For $25... can beat it.

will this work with the xbox one when it is released?

Hi Julia.

This worked with PS4, and there's no reason for it not work with Xbox One.

While I don't have an Xbox one to test it since it's not released to the market, I can at least say that this device does HDCP pass through which means that protected content can get through without problems. It has been working with PS3, Wii U and PS4 for me, so Xbox One will most certainly work.

Does this support 1920x1200 input/output from a computer, or is it restricted to 1920x1080p?

I've run a variety of devices through this and they have all worked.  Unfortunately, I haven't tried that resolution.  I think if it's valid HDMI though, it will work.

Does it support Blu-ray 3D?

Misplaced the power supply--is it positive or negative tip polarity? I think I have one that will work in its place, but want to me sure.

Does it work well with Chromecast?

Works very well with Chromecast. What you will find is that once you switch your TV off it will revert to the input that Chomecast is on. Can be annoying if all your gear is in a cabinet, but if it is out in the open, it comes with a remote so you can easily switch back to TV or any other input that you want. My opinion is that it works great and is very inexpensive for what it can do.

Question 8

When using multiple monitors, why does this product disconnect a PC monitor when switching away from it, moving windows about? Does it send a disconnection signal of some sort when done? (lack of EDID info?) Disconnecting a HDMI cable manually without the switcher doesn't have this effect.

Please remember it is 5 in and 1 out...the 1 out is to your monitor/TV.  I believe you may need to look into a TV splitter to run from your one out however I can't troubleshoot that resolve for you or tell you if it would really work.  Best of luck to you.
