It spins, then stops, or my watch still runs down. Is it defective?
Usually not. It turns 2 min, then pauses (6 min in Mode B, 18 min in Mode L) to prevent overwinding. It cannot start a stopped watch: wind the crown 20-40 times first. If the watch still runs down in Mode L, switch to Mode B.
Does it need to stay plugged in? Why won't it turn at all?
Yes. No battery; keep it connected to a 3V-9V, 0.5A source (adapter not included). If it won't turn, check the back switch: OFF stops rotation, so set it to B or L. Never turn the holder by hand, as this can damage the circuit.
What size watch fits? My watch is too loose or too tight on the pillow.
Dial under 47mm, case under 28mm, strap 175-195mm; two 58mm dials can't fit at once. For small or women's straps, remove the pillow's outer cover. The foam core compresses to fit, so buckle the strap firmly.
Will it work with quartz, solar, or magnetism-sensitive watches?
Automatic mechanical watches only, not Quartz, Seiko Kinetic or Citizen Eco-Drive. It is not anti-magnetic, so avoid magnetism-sensitive watches. Speed is 970-2430 TPD; check your watch manual for its TPD and direction.
