how  many watts?

We purchased these at Christmas time and we've been very happy with them.  They are loud enough for my college-aged sons and provide output quality that I appreciate.

The set is listed elsewhere as 40-watt.

According to the specs in the listing, the wattage is as follows:

Amplifier: 12 Watt x 2 + 16 Watt RMS

Subwoofer RMS Power
Tweeter: 10 Watt x 2
Bass: 30 Watt

Is there a way to connect this speaker system up to a flat screen TV as the auxiliary speaker? If so, how?

All you need to have is a 3.5mm auxiliary speaker output on the television.  It should work fine.  Now all you have to do is adjust the speker volume to compliment you tv speakers.  Good to go.
