I wanted to get more space for my daughters XBox. She has a 360 S console 4GB. Is this compatible with her console?

Yes it is compatible with her xbox, she would have to remove her 4 GB hard drive and replace it with this one, if she has any saves or a gamer profile, she will also need a transfer cable to transfer whatever she might have on her 4 GB harddrive to the new one.

Question 2

Works with ALL 360 consoles?  How does this work in the older white Xbox 360s that have a completely different closure for the HDD vs the 360 S models which are more internal now?

This hard drive is for the slim Xbox 360s. The old ones had the hard drive mounted on top uaing a proprietary case and connector. This hard drive uses the standard sata connection with a special "shell" around the drive to hold it in place.

Is this a New one or used?

The one I received was new. However Newegg's packaging was terrible. It came in a bubble envelope. The box was pretty damaged, but the drive was ok, fortunately.

Is this compatible with the xbox 360 Connect?

I'm guessing you mean the Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect? If so, then yes, it works just fine with Kinect. Just open the slot, insert the memory and you're good to go. As an additional note, as others have commented, this comes with Need for Speed and not Star Wars III.

How is this memory installed?

There is an access cover on the top of the top of the xbox (if you're standing the xbox upright).  Once that vent cover is removed you will see the harddrive slot toward the rear of the xbox.  You just insert and press until you hear the harddrive fully seat and reinstall the cover.  Check out the xbox support page online.  There is a section under xbox 360 accessories that discusses the addition and removal of the harddrive.  It has some images if you need them.

Is this compatible replacement for XBOX 360 4gb Standard? not the slim version?
