Does this WEB Cam come with an HDMI Connector for use with a VIZIO Smart TV?

Life cam is usb only, you might be able to find something that'll go from usb to hdmi, might. 
But I will say the video quality is spot on. Not sure if it's the software that comes with the life cam or the soundblaster titanium card I'm running, but the noise cancelation is beast. Friends comment regularly how they can't hear the a/c which is 2 ft away and music is crystal clear.

will it work on windows 10?

Though there are no official drivers released yet as of this answer, Windows 10 does have built-in drivers that seem to work fine with this camera.  I've used it for Skype meetings without issue--

auto focus?

After several tests with objects with and without text, I've found that this camera does indeed auto focus on subjects.

Can this cam be mounted on a tri-pod?

The bracket shown in the picture that  the camera is on does have a screw in it to remove. The bracket is not solid though, it is very flexible, and is made to either sit on top of monitors or stand on its own on a desktop.

How would it mount on my computer?

The little claw like hook just below the camera attaches to the front of the monitor and you straighten the bottom portion out as needed to hold onto the monitor. I will say this is definitely not the most "stable" mount option so if you are using this for something where shaking needs to be controlled this may not be the best option. However if you are just using it for things like skype calls or other online collaboration where you only need a "decent" picture then this is a great product for the price. It is all about budget and how critical your needs are from a picture quality and stability standpoint. I hope this helps some

Does this unit connect to a tripod?

No, but this is the best cam I ever had and it has an excellent microphone too along with a great picture. It takes snaps, records video and records just audio as well.  There is an app on the microsoft website. I wish I had two of them.

If I were to mount this camera3' up and centered above a 4' wide and 8' long surface would it capture the whole space?

Well to test that idea of I held the camera 3" from the wall. And I can say it most certainly had no issues viewing a 4' x 8' area.

Where I have the camera normally, it sees everything, including 25 ft down the hall, which is nice because there isn't a single person that can sneak up on me, while silliness is happening. lol

will this work with HP 8.1 SYSTEM? I have a H5D-00001 THAT WILL NOT DOWN LOAD TO THE 8.1.  So I want to be sure it will work with 8.1

This webcaam has worked flawlessly on every O/S I've used it on from 7, 8.1 and a few different distros of linix. From what others have said on the other end of skype and a few other programs. Picture quality is amazing.  Tho, you may have to adjust microphone levels depending on room. As, it's able to pick up even the quietest of farts. Lol true story.
