Is this a brand new copy of the original PC game?

It is.  As is the copy of Halo 2.  While I now have it on all three Xboxes, thanks to the Anniversary edition and Master Chief Collection, it's nice to have on a PC.

I do not have any other Halo games installed on my PC. Is this a expansion pack?

No, this is not an expansion pack. This is the FULL VERSION of the first halo game for PC. I have had ZERO problems with it, including the whole "register your product" thing. I don't have internet at home,so I did all that over the phone.... ZERO problems!
