Will all my Excel and Word documents created in Office Professional Edition 2003 be able to be used/viewed/edited with Office 2010?

Hi Judith,

You can view your Office Pro 2003 edition documents/speadsheets in Office 2010.  The document will be opened in the "compatibility mode."  This essentially dumbs down the 2010 to the 2003 version meaning that you will only be able to use the 2003 features in the 2010 mode.  You can later save the document in the 2010 mode which will make all the new features available to you.  If you want to open 2010 documents in a 2003 version you will have to download a Microsof compatibility pac to enable you to do this.  I wouldn't be worried about using a newer version of Office with older documents.  Microsoft is very good in preserving legacy features in its software.

The description says one PC, does this exclude laptops?

Laptops and any other device that runs Windows will run this software. The 1 PC means the software can only be installed in a single computer.

Question 3

Is the download link for this still valid? I understand that Microsoft no longer sells Office 2010, so I'm worried that I won't be able to download the 2010 version (I can't use 2013 click-to-run so I need the actual 2010 software).

I purchased this for a customer. After he left I thought about how he would install the software so I clicked on the download link at newegg, and microsoft asked me for the license code. That is as far as I got, since I did not have the license here. I had loaned the customer my office 2010 h+s disk, and he used his license with that. I think that they will still support the download, but I can't be absolutely sure.

It's more of a workspace than a structured document. You can include drawings, audio and video recordings, photos. I haven't used it much in a work setting, but it integrates with other MS software and platforms (Outlook and PowerPoint), and you might find it useful. I can see that it can be useful for collaborative sharing and brainstorming.

Can I download it as soon as I purchase it or do I have to wait for a card to come in the mail?

Sorry, this one is sent my regular mail as the box you see in the picture with the key inside of it. There are other places you can download the software after purchasing it if newegg doesn't have the downloadable version here.

Microsoft still has Office 2010 downloads available on their product site.  Follow this link and it should be easy as pie.

Is this product delivered in the standard PKC package as pictured or is it in a more "oem style" shrink wrapped generic looking cardboard with a key inside? In other words is it the same packaging that was originally shipped from Microsoft?

I cannot vouch for all products they ship, but mine (I ordered 2) came in a hard plastic case.  I'm assuming this is the packaging "shipped from Microsoft".

I'm not sure what product key no disk means? I'm trying to figure out which Microsoft Office package to buy. Thank you.

This means that the box comes with an activation key on a card inside the box but there is no actual media. You would need to have a copy of the actual installation disk or download it from the internet. Sometimes the computer will come with a pre-installed version 
but most of the new ones now would have Office 365.

I just purchased an Acer S3-391-6497 Ultrabook that comes preloaded with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium and Office. I understand I need a key to activate the Microsoft Office software. Is this what I need to activate the office software on this PC?

If it comes preloaded you shouldn't need a key or it should come with its own key. If you buy this your just purchasing another copy of what you already have. I would double check with the retailer you bought it from or the manufacturer to make sure you're not buying something you might not need. Best of luck.
