No, you do not have to provide confirmation that you're a student.  This is Home & Student, so also home use.

Do keep in mind that this is licensed for non-commercial usage though.

Also, if you are a student, I'd advise you to check with your college to see if they have any agreements with Microsoft as you can often get the entire office suite for almost nothing if they do.

Outlook express is a dated application that has been replaced by Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, and most recently, the windows 8 Mail app. Business versions of office (read: not this one) include the full version of outlook, but outlook express is no longer included with anything, but as mentioned before, has been replaced by many other clients, many of which are free.

No. Outlook express is a non-office addon, that has since been replaced by windows mail, windows live mail, and the Mail app in windows 8. This just includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Onenote.

I hope this information helps you make your product decision. All in all, Office 2013 is a great improvement over 2007 and 2010, and makes numerous improvements to the changes introduced in those versions.

Want to buy MSOffice Home & Student 2013 to replace expired 365, however, I am confused.  Which of the following is suggested and why: 1. I Purchased officeMS  365  and It never worked or downloaded on my computer.  And I asked for a refund 3 times and then gave up because of no response.  Thanks alot for stealing my money .

Once you purchase and install through your Microsoft account - you do not have to re-purchase it.  It can be used as long as you like on the machine that you originally installed it on - you CANNOT install it on other machines

No. It is not a subscription. Just the software. The software does include a cloud feature that I believe requires a subscription. However, I do not use cloud related features. So I am not certain.
