Yes it comes with a usb receiver.   It's about 1/2 inch long.

This is a fantastic keyboard:  Lightweight, battery lasts a long time, thin, and perfect amount of curving to prevent wrist fatigue.

I highly recommend it.

Question 2

Is there any software to install?  I want to use it on a work PC but cannot install anything.

The only installation will be the driver /software that is required by the keyboard, but that occurs automatically via the internet via windows driver download, assuming you are using Windows.  You do not have to insert a cd of any kind.

BTW, this is a great quality keyboard.  I have two, and am very pleased with them.

Will this wireless keyboard accept rechargeable batteries?

Not sure, but I use alkaline batteries and they last forever.  I have two of these keyboards, one in each of two separate offices.  They auto-off when not in use, so the battery usage is really minimal.  If I had to guess, I'd say they last about a year, perhaps longer.

as far as i know, it does not have bluetooth connectivity. If it does then i missed it, but otherwise im happy with the keyboard, its comfoatable to use and takes up a little less space then other full featured keyboards. For the price, you cant beat it.

will this work with a wireless USB receiver/mouse?

If you are asking whether there is a port on the keyboard, then the answer is no.  If you are asking whether it's wireless capability will conflict with a wireless mouse, then I believe the answer is there should not be any problem: it will work.  The keyboard comes with wireless USB receiver that I have connected next to a second wireless USB receiver for my Logitech mouse and both work in harmony. The keyboard requires two AAA batteries which are included so it does operate right out of the box.

I'm not sure what you mean by "adapter", but the keyboard connects to the tower (or laptop) with a usb connection.  There are no outlets on the keyboard for receiving a usb plug.

I bought this keyboard for Windows 8/7. The technical datasheet from Microsoft states that other than Windows it works with "Macintosh OS X v10.7-10.9"

Can you plug this keyboard into a laptop?  I have a Dell Studio, 64 bit...

I don't know the answer for sure, but it would seem that with a USB connection, you could use it on your laptop as well as a PC.  The keyboard is a joy to use.  Besides being very responsive, I really like the unique buttons.  After you get used to them, it's so much easier for searching the web and going back & forward than using the web site arrows, favorites button, etc.

I was just wondering the same thing, since I just saw the update and Started using the Sculpt Ergonomic for my computer, I had this just laying here (I figured with customer computers since its permanently paired to its USB Adapter, so no BS)  Anyways I saw your post and figured we both needed an answer.   So Plugged the Sculpt in questions USB into my Xbox one and worked within Seconds!!!!! So sweet, I'm so glad I have this keyboard as the ergo would suck for an Xbox (since the number pad is detached) So this is the Best one for the Job Hands down. And at this price? I think Im gonna order another right now.
