what memory does it take is it working good for you?

I have one instance on a Brix computer installed as an upgrade to Windows 8.1 Pro utilizing 3gb Ram. It is used for remote desktop access and hasn't caused any problems so far. I have another instance done as a clean install under VMware Workstation 11 utilizing 2gb of Ram and a single processor. Haven't done much on this instance but to install updates. Haven't encountered any problems.

Question 2

Can I roll back to Windows 7 from the install disc?

It depends! Is it within 30 days since you upgraded, did any of the drivers and software upgrade to windows 10 during the time it was running? Are all of the non-compatible programs and drivers uninstalled before upgrading? Does the manufacturer have the necessary drivers for Windows 10 available?  If it is a critical machine I would make absolutely sure you had the original Windows 7 disk and all of the other programs before upgrading and have a good backup of all of your existing data. Upgrading is easy, rolling back becomes riskier the longer you go since upgrading. I usually plan on having to do a clean install of Windows 10 or a clean install of Windows 7 if things go wrong and if it works out, great! If not, I'm prepared.

Question 3

Is this good for only 1 machine? I'd like to get this for a new desktop.  But say I wanted to use boot camp on a Macbook, would I need to purchase a second one to do so?

I would think that you would have to purchase a second copy to run on a second machine. Activation of the product gathers information as to the machine it is installed on. You may want to Google Windows 10 Activation for more information.

I am not sure what you mean by "using windows 7 32 bit on a 64-bit machine".

Go to the W10 site.

There are 2 versions of the MediaCreationTool, an x32 version and the x64 version.

If you have an x32 OS and you want to try upgrading to W10 x64, then you could try downloading the x64 version to see if it works.

I am not sure whether it will.

I think that if you are using W7 Pro x32, you should download the x32 version of the MediaCreationTool and so it will upgrade you to W10 Pro x32.

That is what I did.

I kept the upgrade version the same as the existing version, whether x32 or x64.

I did not try to upgrade any of my x32 versions to any W10 x64 version.

I am not a big fan of x64, too finiky.

I think the upgrade should go by what existing version you are trying to upgrade.

If you want W10 Pro x64, then you have to be using W7 Pro x64, W8 Pro x64 or W8.1 Pro x64.

I just upgraded 7 computers (4 desktops and 3 laptops), all various combinations of W7 Pro, W8 Home, W8.1 Pro, x32 and x64, all to W10.

I made sure that all got the W10 version that corresponded to the existing version I was trying to upgrade, whether x32 or x64.

Some upgrades went very smoothly (the x32 ones) and took about an hour.

Some were very problematic (the x64 ones), and took at least 3 hours.

One upgrade (W8 Home x64 on a laptop to W10 Home x64), took more than 27 hours.

However, in the end, I got them all to work OK, and none have crashed yet.

You can upgrade your existing Windows 7 32-bit installation for free.

You do not need any disk.

Just Google the Windows Media Creation Tool.

Go to that page and download the 32-bit version.

Follow the installation instructions.

I have done that already for four of my computers.

I think the Windows 10 Pro disk is for a clean install on a new computer.

I have done that for two of my computers that I wanted to upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows XP Pro.

As far as I know, Windows XP Pro cannot be upgraded to Windows 10.

Since my Windows XP Pro installations were about 10 years old anyway, I did not mind wiping them out and doing a clean install of Windows 10 Pro.

is this a dvd rom set or something and dose it come with product key?

Yes, my Windows 10 did come with a Product Key, but when I installed it, the install never asked for the Key?  Can't say why?

I realize that the disk will be for 32-bit Windows, but can you register a 64-bit installation with the license code provided with this disk?  (I know that you can with Win 7 32-bit codes, but haven't tried it with OS 10 codes. )
