Can i use for new computer build?

Yes, you can use this disk to install the Windows operating system on a new build, but you will need a product key/license key in order to activate your copy of Windows.

Microsoft controls ownership of copies of Windows through license keys.   This disk does not come with a license key.

It might be possible to use a Windows 7 license key.  The free Windows 7 to Windows 10 upgrade was still working a few weeks ago (updated 2 computers myself) but I don't know if it still is, since Windows 7 support "officially" ended.

Question 2

How Many Times can you use the Win 10 pro recovery disc Disc? Can I use it to Upgrade four of my HP 8300 PCs running Win 7 Pro 64bit to Win 10 Pro 64bit?

Good question I have not needed to use my copy yet. Since it is sold as a recovery product without a license, you should be able to try and upgrade all 4. I've built many PC from OEM copies, and they have varied in build numbers, and used older keys, with newer build numbers; without any problems.  Make sure you can get the unique Win 7 Pro 5 part with 5 unique alpha numeric characters recorded before you start.  If you cant locate the the license tag on the PCs, try using a program Belarc downloadable from the web.  Run it on each PC and it will produce a detailed report on each PC, and include license keys.  Look for the section "Manage all software licenses..".  The report can be as long as 8 pages for an older 
PC. Also, just in-case don't forget to back all user files to some back up storage device.  The disc is a recovery program, but better safe than sorry.  Best of luck.

Question 3

I have a windows 10 pro PC THAT hung up during a windows update.  now won't start, just runs in a loop.  windows came on this pc.  i don't know the key code.  will this disk load and get the pc running again?

Well, it worked for me.  I had Win10 Pro running.  No disc because I upgraded from Win7 during their free upgrade period.  My hard drive crashed, though I was able to extract my  data files on to an external hard drive.  I used this win10 pro recovery disc - NO KEY.  Microsoft recognizes the motherboard for authentication, I'm told.  It was a clean install for me - so I was lucky I had my previous data available.  I'm not sure about a "recovery mode" operation.  If you've backed up your data elsewhere, it's a great way to get a fresh install.  If all of your data is trapped on the same drive that's caught in a loop, I can't attest to whether  this disc works in a recovery/restore operation - although you'd think it could.  I haven't tried it. But as far as the key is concerned, MS will know if your machine was a legal owner through the internet when you start running it, so this "keyless" disc will work.

Will this work with an OEM key?

I don't know for sure, as I've never used mine. Can probably be used for "recovery" if Windows 10 came installed on machine. You can download Windows 10 from Microsoft to use for recovery on a machine with Windows 10 already installed.

Question 5

I have upgrade from window 7 to win 10 and my cd/DVD player stop working. Will this  installation recovery dis help in anyway.?

As I understand it you have already upgraded from WIN7 to WIN10.  If so, then this disk is not going to give you anything you do not already have.   I recently used the disk to upgrade from WIN7 to WIN10 with no bad effects on my DVD drive or any other hardware.  So I doubt that the upgrade has anything to do with your DVD drive failure.  However, if I were in your situation, I would use Device Manager to assure that the latest drivers for the DVD drive are loaded.  After that I would use a different program to see if Windows connects to the drive.  Try file explorer then select  This PC  and see which drives are connected.  If Windows connects to the DVD drive then use a known good CD or DVD disk in you DVD drive  and see if File Explorer can access files on the disk.   If Disk Manager or File Explorer throw an error trying to access the drive, then you may have a hardware problem.  If they can access the drive then your problem may be with the software you were previously using to access the drive.  Good luck.

is this what computer repair shops use to install on pcs there going to sell after they refurbished them?

I believe the answer is yes, these are the OEM install images from Microsoft (so no additional bells/whistles from what a new computer manufacturer might add). The standard core operating system is included and this is needed to build a fresh install (excluding the license key because that must already be available). I am very happy to have these because most computers do not come with recovery discs now and this is a great way to have a recovery option.

I have several desktops. Can I use to update all of them?

I don't represent MS.  I successfully used this as a recovery/install disc for a desktop that was already running windows 10 Pro after my hard drive failed.  My understanding is that when using this keyless disc, Microsoft recognizes your device (motherboard serial number) as a valid owner.  I doubt you could use this disc to upgrade/update any computer from say, Windows 7.  However, if all of your desktops already run Windows 10 Pro, I believe you could recover or do a clean install to any or all of them with this disc. [I think there is a false rumor out there that using this disc along with a valid/current Win7 key works. Don't believe it.]

Question 8

I have Win7 Pro on laptop. I would like to do a clean install and not an upgrade. When prompted, can I select "I don't have a key code", format my C drive, install Win10 Pro with this disc, and then use my original Win7 Pro key code to activate? Has anyone tried this?

It was on Win7 10th-aniversary date I saw news announcement that support is ending. Some refurb PCs I unboxed, activated Win7 on-line, yanked the spinner HD and used this DVD to get 10 on a new, blank, SSD. The "nag box" pop-up to activate Windows just kind of went away...I guess activating 7 with exact PC "Mac Address" (all network chips have a unique identifier MAC), the computer's embedded "Service code" and other things that did not change let it be recognized as a PC already having a "legit" right to use Windows. Note, Professional 10 couldn't activate if PC had "Home" Win7.

Question 9

Had window 7 pro. Did the free upgrade thru Microsoft. Will my old key work?

During the upgrade from Win7 the hardware was hashed and sent to MS during the install and activation.
It is/was recommended to add the computer to your MS account.
Any time after that the servers at MS will recognize the hardware and re-install Win10 with no key needed.
They will use a Digital Entitlement License instead.

Question 10

does the disc available in a 32bit version?

The short answer is, yes. It is both 32 and 64 bit. They tell you if you are not sure, start with a 64 bit installation; if your system is 32 bit, it will tell you and switch the installation to 32 bit.  I hope this helps.
