The Mighty Mule FM500 gate opener is Mighty Mule’s strongest single gate operator, and can handle gates up to 18 feet in length or 850 pounds in weight. It's perfect for all gate types, including ornamental, vinyl, tubular steel farm gates, chain link, or wood gates. Its soft start/soft stop performance enables smooth operation while extending life of the gate opener. This gate operator is a low-voltage system, and operates on an included transformer along with a battery included for use during power outages. With the remote control you can easily open the gate without leaving your car. Best of all, the FM500 is designed for DIY (do-it-yourself) installation, and it take just hours to complete the process. All the mounting hardware is included, plus an installation manual and DVD.

Two-Direction OpeningThis opener can be set on the left or right, and is used in the standard pull-to-open operation. By adding the push-to-open bracket accessory (not included), the Mighty Mule FM500 can be used to push the gate open away from the property with the arms still mounted on the inside. The built-in auto-close option allows you to set the gate to close, from zero to 120 seconds, after reaching the full open position. You can turn the feature off for manual operation.
Easy InstallationThis kit is great for DIY (do-it-yourself) installation. The mounting hardware is included, while the easy-to-read installation manual and step-by-step DVD guide you through the process.
