PC Power & Cooling ModXStream Pro Series 600 Watt 80+ Semi-Modular Active PFC Performance Grade ATX PC Power Supply (OCZ600MXSP)

Pros: I have been using this power supply for well over a year now. I can't find a complaint with it. The modular design has been nothing but awesome. It's gone through a couple cases and easily fits. It has a good price point, it's very quiet, and comes with a bag to keep any spare unused cables stored away for a future addition.

Overall Review: Keep the fans dusted every few months and it'll keep running whisper quiet. When I say whisper I mean it. These fans are quiet!

Cons: PSU failed after 2 years and it killed my onboard sound with it. I'm glad it didn't take the GPU or any other more expensive components when it died.

Overall Review: OCZ is more of a middle tier psu, better than Raid Max and the like but they aren't a top end manufacturer. Just pay the premium and go with a top end manufacturer and minimize ever having to use your warranty. Of course now I need to also RMA my mainboard as well.

Overall Review: I bought one of these to run on a small desktop / game server. It was running a Super Micro board with Dual Intel Xeon cpus and a small handful of hard drives. It had run for 2.3 years almost solid 24/7 ( save for a few reboots and power outages. Today however, I powered down my machine and did a little maintenance and swapped out a drive. Upon trying to power the machine up the PSU greeted me with flash, bang and a little bit of party smoke. I am currently already writing to their tech support, if all goes well I will come back and give this supply a fresh review. Overall I am ok with the time I got out of it, it's just inconvenient that it failed on a Sunday and I am without my game server until at least tomorrow. Though I guess it's not so bad since it did fail within warranty, hopefully it's replacement will treat me better. Random side note: I am an electronics technician and small network admin by trade. I have worked on 100's of computers and other types of machines and the one thing I will state is that anything can and will fail. I have went through countless components in machines. The only thing I have really concluded is that you do get what you pay for. This was a decent mid-range PSU and unlike alot of CHEAP psu's I have run into, this one did not ruin my hardware when it failed, it only failed itself. This review is bitter sweet, I am out of a PSU for a few days, but at least I am sure I will get it replaced.

Cons: I hate rebates. Bought it on the 6th and got caught up on the christmas hustle. come back to claim the rebate and its expired. Bummer.

Pros: 600w 80plus certified, modular, Voltages measured by multimeter under load are very close to their stated specs

Cons: 4-pin\8-pin cpu power connector aren't removable, so your stuck with an extra cable hanging in your case depending on what your setup requires

Overall Review: Have it powering a DFI LP JR P45-T2RS LGA 775 Intel P45 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard, HIS HD4850, Q9550, 4gb DDR2-1000 G.SKILL ram (2.1v), a 640gb WD Caviar, and a 20x Liteon dvd burner, all that is overclockable currently stock except the 4850, which is factory OCed.

Pros: Build quality seems excellent w/nice finish, cable sleeves, and grips on the molex connectors. Fan is very quiet. Having a modular PSU makes the Antec P180m's excellent cable management even better. Cheaper than Corsair.

Cons: The power supply is not completely modular; the 4-pin and 8-pin CPU power cables should be modular, otherwise every system will have at least one extra cable which is not needed. Only other complaint is that I would have liked black screws rather than silver since the PSU is black (as is my case).

Overall Review: I didn't know where to find my rebate info on Newegg, so I called OCZ. From the time I called it took maybe 2 minutes to receive an e-mail providing me with the info I needed. After that it took approximately 3 minutes to fill out the online rebate form, but only because I had to log into my newegg account to get my order number. I like the fact I can sacrifice $2 of the rebate in order to receive it in a week rather than 2 months. Great customer service.

Pros: It works, never had any problems with it at all. Ordered 2 and both are still trucking along just fine. Wanted to sleeve it, but still 1 year on the warranty. Good build quality. Still completely silent. Connectors are tough and still in great condition after being added and removed hundreds of times. Nice little storage bag. I would purchase more of these if the price is right.

Cons: Sleeving job is horrible, is it really better than none at all? Attached cables are fairly short, if bottom mounting in a full tower make sure you have 4/8 pin and 24 pin extentions on hand. Kinda pricey compared to some better offerings if you don't factor in the rebate. Not really a con, but the 8 pin and 4 pin cpu are separate wires, would've liked to seen a 4x4 split plug, but really its only 1 wire total that will need to be hidden, fits nicely between my psu and the mobo tray in a CM Cosmos, tuck it and forget it.

Overall Review: There is a lot of bad reviews on these for reasons that aren't the Psu itself. Modular or not isn't a pro or con. Read the description on things before you buy them. Rebates do not affect the performance of a product, buy expecting not to get it, and if it comes its a perk, don't bash the product because either the rebate center messed up or you didn't send it in time. FYI both my rebates came back, just took 3 months.

Pros: Good PS So Far

Cons: Keeping 4 eggs for myself due to dishonest rebate practices. As stated by other reviewers the rebate is a complete hoax. I have USPS delivery confirmation of the required documentation within the required time frame. OCZ has declined my submission due to non receipt of said documentation. To add insult to injury they will not respond to my email inquiries as to my rebate status even though their automated responses system replies with "Customer Satisfaction is very important to us..."

Overall Review: Unless the actual purchase price for an OCZ product is crazy good and no rebate is required OCZ will not get any more of my business.
