Hello, would this motherboard work as a replacement board for the HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 410f?

It has 8GB DDR3 RAM and a AMD Phenom II - 1045T 6 Core

First off, I trust MSI.  I've been using their boards for years, and other than the odd DOA here and there, they make great boards.  But let's leave the brand out of this.

I was looking for features-namely, the correct number of slots for basic expandability.  I knew I needed an AMD compatible board, particularly with the AM3+ socket for the Vishera chip I was using.  For $300, I got performance comparable to a midrange i5 setup which, at the time, was pushing $600-$800.  Cost, performance, sockets, features...

Oh.  And everyone said the onboard sound on this board is phenomenal-which I'm happy to report it is.

yes, that's the combination I'm using right now and it works very well.  just make sure you get a graphics card as there is no onboard gpu

Will this run win 10?

there is no reason it would not run windows 10 I am currently using it for windows 7 but was offer to run windows 10 as a beta tester and didn't want to so I am assuming as long as you get all the other hardware you should be able to.

Question 4

Does this have a UEFI BIOS Interface and is it good for overclocking?  I'm thinking pairing up a FX-6300 and overclock it to 4.3 ghz. Thanks in advanced.

Yes, It does and overclocks very stably! I am impressed with the bios which are also available within Windows that can overclock in an "auto-overclock" mode or you can use your own settings. In the "auto" mode mine overclocked .4 ghz higher with absolutely no instability and minimal heat increase with the stock cooler. Have fun with it and post your overclock and specs if you get this motherboard. I'd like to see.  :)

could i put a AMD FX 6300 or would i have to get a intel?

The board you're looking at only fits AMD processors, specifically those with the AM3+ socket style. Think of it like the shape game you had as a kid where you could only put the shapes in the corresponding hole. . . Except I used to force the circle through the square hole but that's irrelevant. Long as you don't put a chip in that draws more wattage than the board can carry you're good with any AM3+ CPU. Hope that helps. Love my board.

Does this motherboard have connectors for usb 3.0, say if I wanted to connect the 3.0 slots on the front of my case to the board?

Sadly it doesn't have any options for internal or external USB 3.0 connections. This motherboard was released around the time when USB 3.0 was barely becoming popular.

I see a 6 pin power input next to the small pci slot, what is it for?

Provides extra power to the pci-e connectors for additional stability particularly when using Sli or Crossfire. Watch the Newegg video on this board starting at about 7:40 into it.

Do I need to buy a WiFi card for this?

It comes with a direct wired connection but if you would like to connect with wifi you will have to buy a wireless card.

Will this board handle an fx 9000 cpus?

At current my rig with this mobo, is running an fx 6100. That being said. The fx 9000 series is 8 core am3+. The mobo supports up to an 8 core AM3+ AMD. It is my opinion and specification not to run a cpu in a mobo that is at its outer limits. But specification wise it should work.

Question 10

Is this motherboard compatible with Windows 8.1 64-bit?

On the MSi website, the only driver that was available to download for this motherboard was for the Realtek HD Audio.

Shouldn't there also be drivers for the chipset, USB ports and LAN?

My motherboard is almost identical to this one and I am currently running Win 8.1 flawlessly.
