No . This is a component not a complete system this component would require a processor ,Ram and some type of data storage just to install an operating system. I think you might have this part confused with a development board or embedded motherboard like the Raspberry Pi. This is a PC motherboard

Look at the rear panel, it has a dvi and HDMI connector

Pretty decent 3d type graphics , considering the form factor and power consumption

It's a completely different socket, so it has 0 chance of ever working, the power delivery wouldn't be enough anyways.

Should go for an i3 if possible, if you already have the chip, look for the ASrock 970M AM3+ board, probably the best budget board. or go for the GIGABYTE GA 970 gaming board potentially, it has way better power delivery and some additional features.

Or if you don't already have the chip again and want a budget chip, go for the 860K or an A8 APU, it will have similar performance.

Yes.  This item is strictly a motherboard so you would need to purchase an amd chip, hdd or sdd, and memory to make the board functional or buy one of the combo kits that has these items bundled together.

I don't think this board runs 'dual channel' ram. I have 4gb Patriot memory now > DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800). I'd like to add more memory to do some video editing. Does it need to be the same brand/timing etc...? Or can i just get the same speed, without compromising performance?

No,  it doesn't support Dual Channel.  While you don't have to match brand, it would be nice to get the specs as close as possible.  An DDR3-1866 CL-10 would look like a DDR3-1600 CL-9 (or less).  Also, while I would not match up one 4GB & one 8GB,  you may replace a single 4 with a single 8GB. Watch for a deal.

Can I add 6GB RAM to this or is it 4GB only?

It has 2 ram slots that you can put up to a 16GB stick in each one as long as it is DDR3 and without the range outlined in the specifications page. You can run on one slot as well but I would recommend running twin sticks of RAM in both. (like 2x2 2x4 2x8 2x16)

Amd 5350 is the processor I prefer for the AM 1 socket. this processor has enough power for video streaming and very light gaming.I have no direct personal knowledge but I believe the other am1 CPU alternatives are underpowered for most users.

You can't use an AM3+ CPU on an AM1 Socketed motherboard.  You would need to use an AM1 CPU like the Sempron 3850, Athlon 5150 or 5350 for this motherboard.

If you want to use a FX-6300, you need an AM3+ motherboard.
