Absolutely. That card will work in any motherboard with a PCI-expresss x16 expansion slot. Doesn't even matter if the slot is PCI-express 2.0 or 3.0.

Unfortunately this board will only support the Haswell line of processors. The board is a 1150 socket and the i5-3570K uses the 1155 socket. Also, yes this board supports overclocking.

Should I install my PCI-ex 2.0 graphics card in the PCI-ex 3.0 slot or the PCI-ex 2.0 slot? Thanks!

To my knowledge (please correct me, someone, if I'm wrong), you can install PCI-ex 2.0 cards into PCI-ex 3.0 slots. The different versions of the slots just increases the bandwidth (i.e. version 3 has a higher maximum bandwidth than version 2). It shouldn't matter which slot you install the card in, as most cards do not utilize the maximum bandwidth for version 2, let alone version 3.

In short, it really doesn't matter which slot you put it in.

Is this motherboard compatible with the Coolermaster Elite 120 case? I know it's compatible with the Coolermaster Elite 110 but I wanted the 120 for the Optical Disc Drive option. Any replies are much appreciated :)

I installed this MB in SILVERSTONE Black Aluminum / Steel ML04B Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case, not the one you chose. However, I have built many computers and do not hesitate to install any mATX motherboard in a case that is built for mATX or ATX. There is nothing about this MB that deviates from the mATX standard. So if the case you chose will do mATX or ATX then you're good to go.

I see that this has the TPM connector, but I wanted to make sure. Does this motherboard meet all the requirements to enable hardware encryption (eDrive)? I can't seem to see if it supports UEFI 2.3.1. I have a self encrypting Samsung SSD and I want to make sure BitLocker will use the hardware encryption rather than software. Thank you for the help.

It is EUFI but I don't know the version. I didn't use it long enough to get that deep. I swapped it out for a MSI Gaming 5. In fact it is sitting in my parts closet with 8 gigs of memory, a i5 3.5 processor and a third party fan seeking a buyer. I went with the Gaming 5 because of the internal SSD connection on board. So it is waiting for a SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 256GB to be installed as the boot drive. However when I was using it the newest games I played using it were the two newest Wolfenstien releases. I tried the new Tomb Raider with it but my GTX 750 just couldn't keep up so I bought a GTX 960 which changed everything.

If I use a PCI-e 1.0 slot will it slow down the PCI-e 3.0 slot?

The motherboard manual says nothing about the PCI-e 3.0 x16 slot being affected when a PCIe x1 slots is occupied.

The motherboard's notes indicate that if the PCI-e 3.0 x16 and PCIe 2.0 x16 slots are both occupied, speed is affected. In that case they can either both be operated in x4 mode or be linked via Crossfire.

If use a PCI-e 1 slot will it slow down the 3.0 slot?

They are all 3.0 slots, so perhaps you mean if you use an x1 slot will it slow down the x16 slot? It just isn't a concern. That's what they're there for. That being said, you probably would not install an x1 card in an x16 slot. It would work just fine, but you would reserve an x16 slot for x4, x8 or x16 cards.
