Yes, but only one or the other. You can put all DDR2 memory in or all DDR3, but can't put both DDR2 and DDR3 in at once.

As for supported memory speeds: DDR2 is supported up to 1066mhz, I can only verify that my 400mhz DDR2 ram modules work. DDR3 is supposedly supported up to 1333mhz. If you want to buy memory at that speed I would make sure it's type PC3-8500, a search of your own should reach the same conclusion. Anything below 1333mhz should have no issues, though I would do a search on the specific memory modules you have in mind to verify their compatibility. DDR2 memory should be less finicky, I would venture to say all the major types are supported; though it can't hurt to see what a google search comes up with for your specific modules.

does this combo include the processor?

@Cullen C.  This motherboard does not include a processor.  It is a LGA775 socket which will work with most of the Core2Duo's, Quads, and even some old pentium D's.    The memory on this motherboard will use 2 sticks of DDR2 or 2 sticks of DDR3.  Purchased one of these boards a few weeks ago to make an inexpensive computer for my daughter to play around with W10techpreview

you can either runn ddr2 or ddr3 you can not run both together so it will be either 4x2 gb ddr2 to give you 8 gigs or you can run
4x2 ddr3 in the ddr3 slots for 8 gigs

I will be running a 2gb ddr3 graphics card that i currently use. what power supply requirement is this current motherboard?

The buffer-size means very little on a video card. What is your BUS-speed and bandwidth! If your video card can't MOVE the information, then buffer-size (the amount of info. it can hold) means very little! All things aside, I'm just taking a shot in the dark here, you will want AT LEAST a 400w power supply that supplies 20A on the 12w circuit. The 12w circuit powers the video card on a power supply and usually takes the most amount of resources from your power supply. If you can provide me with more info. about your video card, and what you plan to do with it, I can give you a better recommendation.

Yes, the one I bought was brand new. I bought it to replace another brand motherboard that went bad. I wanted one that I could still use my processor, video and memory so I wouldn't have to put more money into this pc. I did not read the spec very careful as this MSI G41M will do DDR3 1333 / DDR2 1066. I have 4 sticks of DDR2 1066 and was only able to use 2, but they are 2Gb each witch still runs fine.

This board has 4 memory slots and supports DDR2 and DDR3 memory. I need to know if I can install 4 DDR2 modules or are only two slots available for DDR2 and two slots for DDR3?

You have to choose either DDR2 or DDR3, and you can only use the 2 slots intended for whichever memory format you decide on. You cannot mix them, and trying to put the wrong memory in a slot can damage both the board and the memory.

I am using this board for my daughters computer, with a pentium D 920.  OC'd to 3.4 on a Rosewill RCX-Z300 cooler which I also purchased here both products arrived in perfect condition, faster than expected

Newbie builder here. I have an old xfx 630i board with the pentium 4 3.00GHZ. Would I be able to use this processor on the msi board? Also does this support windows 7 as in probably the only one in the world still using xp. Thanks everyone

If the Pentium 4 has same socket LGA 775 with the mother board G41M-P33. Google USA MSI G41M-P33 and look for CPU compatible. Yes, I installed the Windows 7 SP1 professional 32 bit (not 64 bit) and it work great.

I have 4 Gb of PC3200 DDR2 RAM from another motherboard.  Will it work with this board?

It should, mine does.  There is a compatibility list on the MSI web site.  But be aware that you can only use two DIMM slots.  The other two are for DDR3, and you can't mix and match.  If you have 4 x 1Gb DIMMs, you will only be able to use two.
