Is the Corsair Hydro Series H110i compatible with this motherboard?  What is the best way to update the BIOS?

I use this cooling system and I like it. Don't forget the two fans pull air into the case with this radiator based system. I update the BIOS by formatting a flash drive using FAT, inserting into specific USB port at the back of the board as per instructions in manual and rebooting. Always chech in case you have to rename the BIOS file and/or file extension. Do not lose power during the update or poof...

Will that Second PCI-E slot run at 16x or just the top?  I'm only using one GPU but I want it in the second slot because I think it would look better in my case not being completely butted up against my cpu cooler.  Thanks.

The top slot will run at x16 with only one GPU installed. With a GPU in the first and third spots (2 way SLI/Crossfire) they will both run at x8. With three GPUs in the first three spots (3 way SLI/Crossfire) they will run at x8, x4, and x4 respectively. With 4 GPUs they will run (x8, x4, x4, x4).

What power supply did you all decide to pair with this board? I was thinking about APEVIA ATX-AS680W-BL 680W ATX12V, I have used it on 3 other builds with success. But I am considering modular this time around.

Hi.  I used a Kingwin 1220 W modular power supply.  Like your 680W, mine as survived several builds.  MSI's minimum requirement is a 400W power supply, so you meet the minimum requirement.  I would add up the recommended power requirements of the board, the CPU, the graphics card, and any other hardware you plan on plugging into your system.  If the total is > or = to 80% (yes that is picked off the top of my head) of 680W, I would seriously consider upgrading your power supply.  I have never heard anyone complain their problem was too much power.

What is the max memory standard of this board? I have ddr 3400. Im pretty sure it will run fine on this board

Lol! I'm not sure if you are talking about the "speed", or the Max Gb amount. In either case the standard speed is 2400/2133; but, it supports 3600/3200/3000/2800/and 2600, w/OC. You can set these speeds manually in the bios or just click on XMP in the bios. As for the Max amount, it's 64 Gb, unless you are using a 32 bit system, (have no idea why anyone would want to do this on such a performance board), in which case, you are limited to only 4Gb. Honestly I never even looked, but I don't think so.   This is my first MSI board as I have been an ASUS fan, but this board was awesome to build.

Yes:

They would both run at x8 and if for some reason it dropped below x8 then one of those cards would go into sleep mode.

I believe currently that you need a minimum of 24GB installed DDR4 to use the full 12GB VRAM on the Titan....when DX12 allows combination of that memory, does that mean you need 48GB to get the 12GB off both Titatns to combine?

Only use the two normal ones. The big one on side then the one by the cpu fan connector. The other two weird ones are for plugging more power to your board if you want to Overclock it and be able to put more power into it using those. So no do not need to plug in all of them.

No. But at current wifi speeds you wont see a slowdown from using a USB adapter if you choose a quality one like the asus ones.

Can this motherboard run an Gforce GTX 1080 8G GPU?

Yes.   I just picked up the AORUS GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB Video Card and it runs great.   Most modern motherboards will run any GPU without any issue.   The only thing to look out for is your case size and if it will fit that card.

I got this board installed into my first build but I ran into a snag. I connected my power supply to each power connector on the board except the the six pin that is near the cpu fan connector. I believe I have no cords to connect it with my power supply and when I look on my power supply, the only ports open are vga, sata, and a peripheral. Do I not use a certain connector on the board such as the one on the top? If I do that, then I have a six pin cord with a 4 pin attached to it available to use. I use a EVGA SuperNOVA 850 Platinum psu and hopefully this question makes sense?

ok, i think i know what you're asking but i'll just walk through it to make sure. When installing the PSU, the only REQUIRED power connectors are the large one on the side and the 6+4 connector on the top (that i believe is the one that you are saying you did not connect) the others are optional. You should have a connector that is + pin and then a 4 pin on the side of it that you plug into the top port. You may have confused it with the one you plugged into another power port or even plugged it into the GPU. It's very similiar to the one you plug into the GPU but there's a slight difference because the one that goes into the motherboard needs to be stacked together and i believe the one that goes into the GPU has a little tab that would keep them from going into the right port. So, long story short, plug in the one on the top first, then plug in the rest based on what you have, it won't start without the 6+4 plugged in
