Does this computer have an upgradable GPU?

Laptops as a general rule do not have upgradeable GPUs.  RAM is typically the only upgradable component in most laptips, but the Apache Pro doesn't have access panels to do so, and opening the case will void your warranty.

first, how many cores does this laptop have?
second, how much bloatware is there really. is it too much to use pc decrapifier or should i reinstall windows 8.1
third, how loud do the fans get in comparison to the speakers. are the fans so loud it distracts from the audio? is it just quiet enough to have the speakers on full blast without having any distractions or is it quiet enough to barely notice when playing.

1) 4 cores, 8 threads.
2) Just do a fresh install, It's worth it simply due to drivers.
3) The fans are loud, but they're more quiet than the past MSI laptop fans.  You get used to the sound but they are loud enough that anyone within probably 15ish feet (5ish meters) will hear you if they're running full blast.

Can the mini displayport output 4k at 120hz via adapter to highspeed hdmi?

You can, if the display supports it.

Oddly enough, I ordered this model and got the apache GE62 2QF.

Assumedly, this is the same model, or an updated version, but there is a big "ULTRA HD 4K" sticker on the front. However, the intel graphics onboard (in addition to the integrated GPU) doesn't allow for any other resolution other than 1920x1080 at 60hz. That's it. Locked. Custom resolutions are given "exceeds bandwidth."

I don't know if this is an intel issue or if they made a mistake on the MSI sticker.

So: yes, to an external display. On the built-in laptop display, no, there seems to be some kind of issue between intel and msi.

What's the battery life of this? How is it affected by different applications such as graphics heavy gaming?

The battery is that of most gaming laptops, that is, do not expect to get more than an hour or two without plugging it in. Without doing anything very intensive, this laptop will last you 4 hours tops. In other words, its a pig on battery but a beast on performance.
