Hi there, just want to know if this notebook is good enough for video editing?

I purchased this as a gift for my nephew. He uses it for gaming mostly, with no problems. My home computer has an Intel i5 with 16 gig of memory. It will edit video pretty well. You might want to upgrade this MSI laptop with more ram. The Win7 64 bit will allow 16 gig or more. Overall, this laptop has exceeded expectations. An Intel i7 would probably handle video editing a little easier. I hope this answers your question.

I am looking for a decent rendering computer (maya,Unity,Ps,ETC). Im having some trouble getting straight answers about how well this PC could handle such actions? any insight?

Heyo Matt!

I don't engage in unit modeling or any 3D work so I don't know how programs such as Maya would fare. However, I do a lot with Ps, and my little Fangbook handles that program like a pro. In fact, he's handled everything I've thrown at him... with ease! If I were you, I wouldn't worry at all about this little laptop's performance. The Fangbook is a great package for a great price~  ;)

unboxed mine, touch pad works but not the left or right buttons. the touch pad button isn't pressed to deactivate. Am I missing something? when I connect mouse it works even track pad, but still not the left or right buttons

Hello, i am looking into this computer and was wondering what it could do. I am not an expert in computers but i do know it a little bit. For what kind of games could i use this computer? Could i play things like minecraft or feed the beast on it without lag. Sorry for being such a computer noob and for my bad grammar. I am not english. Thanks in advance

Hello there.

I purchased this computer, and I have been able to play World of Warcraft, Metal Gear Rising, Deadpool, Terraria and some others on it just fine. You could likely play Minecraft perfectly fine. I do not know about Feed the Beast, but it probably can.

It is not a fire breathing gaming machine, but most games will run just fine. I would suggest a cooling pad beneath it, though. But that is true of all gaming laptops.

The specs list shows 2gb of RAM for the GPU, all other notebooks that I have looked at with the GT 740m have 1 gb of RAM for the GPU... is this a mistake or a different version of the GT 740m?

2 GB is correct. The spec's list the chip as GeoForce 740M. I hope this helps.

It is an entry level gaming, the i5 combined with the graphics card mean it will do decent at most games. However, don't expect to max out modern games like Battlefied 4. You can play games on this laptop but it will not be like the high-end series.
