It should. I guess it may depend on the vendor, and whether its an open box item. Mine was new in box, and has everything you'd expect to find.

should I be content with the 6th gen processor or save money to get the 7th gen?

There's not a big difference in the performance of the two. 7th gen changes are minimal to start with but don't make much of a difference with this laptop.  The GPU was updated (in this laptop means absolutely nothing) and some capabilities were added like Optane support. Again nothing that is going to benefit you on this laptop. 200 MHz clock increase is all that really adds to the performance. You may see single digit percentage increases in speed, if that.

From what I see, this does not include the promotion for free games. typically if it has such a promotion ita listed just below the name of the item for the customer to see

I read in reviews that the Nahimic 2 audio driver had to be reinstalled. Will the driver found on MSI's support site do?

Yes.  The download on the MSI support site has both components for the audio driver.  Just follow the instructions on the site and you'll be good.

Can you upgrade the gpu?

Actually, the GPU in this laptop is upgradeable. It has an MXM 3 graphics slot that is currently occupied by the 1060. This technology has been around a while and I thought it was practically dead. Maybe NVIDIA has some future plans? I know there is a MXM 3 1080 version graphics card but the last price I heard was around $1,000. Upgradeable, yes. Sensible, not at this point.

It is a heavy laptop.. No doubt about it. Charger is heavy as well and both together must be weighing close to 8lbs. Having said that, machine is built heavy for a reason and the parts under the hood justify it.
