Is this have 2 GTX980M graph cards? Each one is 8GB?

Yes it does i ordered this for a friend of mine and when it arrived i checked the specs to make sure that they where what they said they where and yes it is two  GTX980m 8gb cards in sli we tested it with crysis 3 maxed out and they only time it droped from 60 fps was on load screens. so if you got the cash and want the best gaming laptop you can find this is it by far

Question 2

Has anyone tried to take and use this on an airplane? I fly 2-3x per year to visit family and would take this along to have it while visiting. Particulars appreciated w.r.t. whether the laptop in its custom backpack fits under the seat or in the overhead, and whether it's even possible to use it during flight when the adjacent seat is occupied (without starting an air-rage incident). The flight I take has electrical outlets so battery life doesn't matter.

I absolutely love my Titan, but this isn't the ideal traveling laptop.  I fly often but there are a few things to consider when buying this laptop:

1. This gets through TSA without any issue and the included backpack makes slipping this in and out quite easy.
2. This will fit under the seat stowage area in the middle and window seat sections.  With newer 737-800/900's coming out, the aisle seat won't let you stow this (or much at all for anything).
3. In business class you can use this and there is enough room, but this will be a really right squeeze in economy, I don't recommend it.
4. The electrical outlets WON'T WORK on the plane to charge this.  The electric outlets provide up to 110V of electricity.  The laptop charger requires 330V of power in order to run.

I personally use an iPad while in transit; this laptop is 10lbs and the power adapter is 3lbs.  This isn't a computer to ideally use on the flight.  The weight,  keyboard to screen distance, 18" form factor, and battery life are all factors to take into account.  I would instead suggest the GIGABYTE P35Xv3-CF6 which is 15.6", has a single 8GB GTX980, and should provide you with a sufficient experience while in transit (as well as sturdier and nearly 1/2 the cost).

Question 3

How upgrade-able is this thing?  I plan on keeping my laptop for a long time and I want to be able to upgrade the memory, hard drive, and possibly graphics card if I ever need to. Can I be able to do so without destroying the laptop?

The GT80 was built with upgrade ability in mind thankfully and MSI promises to support graphics upgrades for the next two generation cards. The GPU cards are the standard MXM just like Clevo and are not BGA. All upgrades could be performed easily and quickly by simply removing the top or bottom covers and you do not need to split the chassis unlike previous generations of other 18 inch laptops. Because of this the laptop goes back together as it should without special tools or worry.

How good is the performance? How much FPS would you get in CS:GO? or GTA V?

The performance is amazing, vastly outperforming my Alienware 17 and Razor Blade Pro. I am running the stock MSI GT Series GT80 Titan SLI-009, I have not put any upgrades into it, yet. It completely devours CS:GO on max settings. FPS rarely dips below 200, that only happens when about ten or more frags go off at once. It also handles GTA V like a champ. All settings maxed out with DSR turned on, It averages about 120 FPS. It fluctuates depending on the environment and whether or not you are playing online or story mode. The lowest FPS I encountered was in the low 80's while I had 5 Stars running from both the military and online players pretty much dodging a barrage of Rockets and RPG's every couple of seconds. Does it run hot? I have a MSI GE70 and it is red hot while playing games. Wondering if they have fixed the heat problem.

I haven't had it run hot yet... not even once!  I haven't pushed it to the absolute limit yet (not sure if I even can with how powerful this machine is), but I don't think I've seen numbers past 75 Celsius yet.  The laptop stays cool to the touch, even on the bottom.  The only down side to this is that the fans can be pretty loud.  It isn't a huge issue to me, but people I talk to over Skype/TS3/Ventrilo/other VoIP do comment on the noise.

Does this laptop come with just the backpack or backpack including gold key tabs, dragon keychain, palm rest and mousepad?

Regarding Hard Drives:  Reading the specs, does that mean two 128GB m.2 SSDs in RAID 0, and one 1TB 7200 RPM mechanical drive?  Or are there also two mechanical drives configured in Raid 0?

Hi, check the spec tab: storage: 1 TB HDD + 256 GB SSD.     there're only one hard drive + 2 128 GB SSD.      I would say most of the current laptops doesn't have 2 mechanical hard drives. most commonly hard drive is 500GB, 750GB, 1TB for laptops. For Gaming Laptops, almost 90% of them are 1TB hard drive. hope this helps.

can I get this in a windows 7 pro OS?

Windows 7 Pro would be available via the (free) downgrade rights that come with all Window 8.1 Operating Systems.  MSI also provides drivers for Windows 7 (64bit) on their Support Page for the GT80.

As a note:  Only Windows 8.1 comes with downgrade rights - the older Windows 8 standard version does not support free downgrade rights.

The base core clock speed is fairly low ( less than 3ghz). has any owner been able to overclock the cpu without dangerous heat or additional cooling?

I have not, but on the MSI forums they will get you a custom bios to do what you wish, I believe there is a fee before they will make the bios.

Question 10

I'm not familiar with the M.2 standard, but the M.2SATA slots, can they (or are they currently) utilizing the M.2 PCI-E or do they only do SATA? (sometimes referred to as PCIEg2) ?

These M.2 slots are "M.2 SATA + SATA" according to MSI's detailed spec page on their website.
In other words, M.2 format SSDs running a SATA connection, and they are unable to utilize the much faster PCIe bridge options.
