Does this laptop come with a bad like in the picture?

Yes. It has three pouches. The outer pouch has one zipper and is accessory sized (keys, cables, etc). The middle pouch is large enough to hold small laptops or other electronics. The inner pouch (the one closest to your back while wearing it) is large, has a padded sleeve for this laptop and two sleeves inside that comfortably fit 13" laptops, and room for accessories, cables, charger adapter, etc.

The bag has been fine for me for most of my ownership, though two zipper keys have fallen off. The straps have a bridge/web between them that might chafe your neck depending on how high you wear the backpack.

Question 2

I see that it has 8GB of RAM populating into 1 ram slot.  What is the RAM slot configuration?  Does it only have the 1 slot.

It has 4 slots, 2 under the keyboard and two on the underside (easier to reach).  The 8GB on mine is on a single stick, mounted on the keyboard side (leaving two easily reached slots underneath open), and that appears to be the standard for this model.  Upgrades to 24GB would be straightforward, 32GB (the max for the mobo) would require accessing the keyboard-side slots or waiting for 16GB laptop sticks.

Question 3

does this have a bluray drive or not? it shows up in my filtered list a having one, but I'm seeing conflicting info in the spec sheets.

It comes with a Super Multi DVD drive, but according to a Tom's Hardware Breakdown the higher end model comes with a Toshiba/Samsung SN-506 which you could swap it out for. Hope that helps and It is confusing and Newegg needs to pay more attention to what they put in the Image description section and on the overview page.

in the specs it shows the following  does it have SSD's?

It does not have the SSD's in it. I bought this laptop based on the fact that it had SSD's at the same price as comparable laptops w/o them. Too good to be true? I guess it was. I'm sending it back. Newegg should have offered an in store credit for a fair cost of 2 SSD's since this is a misprint on their part. I would have kept the laptop and happily installed them myself but instead they only gave me 2 options; send it back for refund or exchange for one just like it so the RMA label is on it's way.

I usually get around 3 hours while I'm just browsing the internet and doing Office related work.  I haven't yet tried gaming on it while it wasn't plugged in!  Great computer, good luck!

No it does not. I think u can order a bluray drive from msi and install it but the 1886 just has regular DVD drive . there is another version of this same laptop that comes with a little extra and that one has a bluray drive . it's the Dragon dominator 2202

Any options at all for upgrading storage from the base single HDD

Yes up to 32 GB. 2 slots are underneath the keyboard, and 2 slots are on the underside of the laptop.
