I have a green and black PC. Will I see the red if I install this card?

Yes, although the MSI gaming App allows you to change the RGB color in the settings, the card still boots with the automatic white MSI logo and red lights until the computer boots and the app launches the saved preferences. Also, the card has black/red plastic accents that cannot be changed.

Will I notice a difference coming from a GTX 770 ( MSI lightning) ?

Absolutely assuming you are playing graphically demanding games. The 1070 is a substantially more powerful card, with nearly double the performance in synthetic benchmarks.

What are the differences between the GAMING X card and the GAMING one, other that its core/boost clocks, does it matter or make a huge difference?

The non-x has lower clock speeds and no mention of "profiles" with different speeds.
You're getting the same cooler, but not the guaranteed clock speeds under warranty.

They don't specifically mention the non-x on their site.  If I had to guess, I'd say they're chips that failed stability tests at the clock speeds advertised for he gaming-x so they lowered the speed and sell them a little cheaper.

If you want to overclock it, I would get the X.  If you are happy running the speed listed for the non-x, go ahead and save the money.

Does this card fit in the Cooler Master HAF 912 case?

I suspect that it would.  While it is large, it fit into my Corsair Carbide 300R w/out much problem and that case isn't anything special- almost same dimensions as your Cooler Master.  Might want to measure prior to ordering just to give yourself some peace of mind.

Absolutely, all drivers for this card are available for Windows 7.

Does the box come with a DisplayPort 1.4 cable with it?

The only cable they give you is a bridge cable for SLI.  No included video cables but a decent size display port is inexpensive (maybe $8 to $15 max).  If you are getting a new monitor I would say it may come with that but graphics cards are not typically sold with video cables.

I am sorry I wish I could tell you that. You just have to have newegg notify you through e-mail that they have got more in stock so you can get in there & beat out all the other people trying to get one. It will be worth the wait if your coming from a 970gtxand lower cards.

The Asus GTX 1070 Strix model has higher clock speeds. Does that mean it's faster than MSI?

Slightly faster, but you can overclock this card to match or exceed the speeds of the strix more then likely because all these cards have modest overclocks to begin with.
