What cpu did you pair this up with? i5 8600k? i7 7700k?

I am personally running it with an i7-4790 @ 3.6GHz.  Generally I don’t think I’ve had any problems (e.g. using an HTC Vive). Although I have had a few system lock-ups that I have yet to diagnose. (The system lock-ups didn’t happen during heavy graphics load, so probably not GPU related)

I replaced a oc msi 970 card with the 1070 tI titanium my power supply had the proper plugs included to power up this graphics card I believe there were 2 plugs needed to fire it up

I'm happy with the 1070 Ti. I'm not spec savvy so can't comment that you would tell the difference between the 1070 Ti and the 1060. Consider your RAM size and an SSD for game files. They impact gaming performance.

11.5 inches from the mounting tab to the end of the card.  11 inches from the face of the mounting plate to the end of the card.   Pcie power plugs don't add length.  They're on top so only have to consider wires for height requirements

Should I buy this card or STRIX OC 1070? Playing 1080p 60Hz first, then buying new 1440p 60Hz.

If you're running ultra settings both will work well so it does''t really matter.  The 1070ti is only a teeny bit better then the 1070, but if you overclock you get the performance of a 1080.  If youre not running ultra settings save your money and get a 1060

I don't have gaming version, but they have the exact same specs, so as far as performance, they are exactly the same. I think gaming version weight difference is in physical components, cooling mostly. You can OC them both the same too, which I don't do but both will do the same OC.
