I need to run two monitors with this card. This has been asked several times, but I don't understand any of the answers. 
Is it possible?

Yes it's possible to connect up to 4 displays. As far as I am aware it's as simple as plugging them in and selecting in windows settings which monitor you want as your primary. The card has Dual Link DVI-I, HDMI 2.0, 3x DisplayPort 1.2. So be aware that you can't for example use 2 monitors that both use HDMI because it only has 1 HDMI port but you could use a monitor with HDMI and a monitor with DVI-I. PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) is a computer bus or expansion card standard, for connecting hardware devices. The three versions – PCI, PCI-X and PCIe – perform at varying speeds and specifications.

The oldest standard, PCI, uses a shared bus topology, wherein all components must use the same bus network for all their processes. PCI boasts a 64bit, 66MHz combination with a peak theoretical bandwidth of 512MB/s. The lower bandwidth capability of PCI, compared to PCI-X and PCIe, makes it virtually obsolete.

This video card is based on latest PCI Express 3.0 X16 standard. it can provide 32 GBps bandwidth for Video card.

So my video card is NVidia gt 720 pcie1 interface pci express x8 this video card wont work in my machine will it?

This card should work in your machine... Don't forget that this card is big so make sure you have enough room in your machine. Also you need at least a 400 watt power supply.

Is this card PCIE 2.0 or 3.0 compliant ?

It is a 3.0 card but if you only have a 2.0 board you can run it but wont get your money's worth I would  upgrade to a 3.0 bored most cards use a 3.0 anyways so if you need to upgrade in the future it will be alot easier

what power supply should i use for this video card? im using a msi 970 gaming mobo also.

I'm currently using a evga 750watt 80 bronze power supply with the same mobo and graphics combo. Currently having no issues with any of those parts. Now if you plan on getting 2 960 Gtx and running I sli you might want to invest in 850 watt or higher to keep your system powered  as the capacitors age. Its always nice to buy a power supply 20% higher then your recommend to allow for capacitor aging. also use a power supply calculator to find your minimum and recommend power supply for your entire pc build.

My motherboard is a AMD 760G, and I was wondering if I could use this graphics card?

You want to make sure you have a decent power supply (I believe the minimum is 400 watts)  and the motherboard has a pci express x16 slot and you should be good

The card will allow you to run three monitors but gaming performance may not be the best across all three monitors.

is the a software app that will tell me if this is compatible with my desktop?

I don't have an answer for this. 
You should look at the specs of the GPU and see if it is compatible with your hardware. This unit is long and just fit in my ATX case. I upgraded my power supply since this GPU draws a lot more power than my old unit and the cables from the old PSU were different.

Hey I have really been wanting to upgrade my graphics card i have a AMD antheleon 4200 HD series integrated graphics and was wondering if this considered an upgrade and if the MSI GTX 960 is PCI or whatever the integrated card is? Would really like to know before i purchase and hope its not much of a hassle.

Integrated graphics is apart of the CPU itself, it's not it's own unit, this graphics card is its own unit, and fits into the PCI slot on your computer. If you have a laptop, this will not work, but if you have a desktop with an empty PCI express slot, it should work, as long as you have a power supply that can support it, because it requires extra power from the PSU that it can't get from the motherboard.

Does this card work with UEFI? (specifically thinking putting this on an asus maximus VII hero mobo)

Yes, it works excellent with UEFI! I actually had a GTX 560TI and although it worked, it was a very glitchy card with my board. The GTX 960 made a world of difference and took the bottleneck out of my system. I am running an Asus board also, Maximus VI Formula. Hope this helps and good luck with your purchase.
