I'm kinda new with this pc thing but im wondering if i can get any case with this motherboard or are there only certain towers/case it is compatible with?

Their are different mounts for different boards and you have to find a compatible one. This is because for different size boards the screw holes are in different places. So all you have to do is match the size of the board to the case. Some bigger cases will be compatible with many boards but watch out because you can't always trust that.

How many fans can this board support?

The board has one voltage regulated 4-pin SYS FAN connector and one 4-pin PWM CPU FAN connector. Additional fans can be supported with an adapter. Based on the voltage of the connectors, I would recommend an adapter that also supplies additional power.

does this work with a MSI GAMING GeForce GTX 980 4GB OC DirectX 12 VR READY (GTX 980 GAMING 4G)?

There is no reason it shouldn't.  I dont think I would stick with the H110 chipset if you were building a rig with the GTX 980.  I would go with something that had the Z170 chipset to take full advantage of the speed of all your components.

Question 4

will this support an Intel Core i5-7600 Kaby Lake Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1151 65W? i believe the socket is the same but i need to make sure.

Question 5

For some reason, I can't get anything to show up on my monitors. Fans are running, lights are on, etc. but I have been trouble shooting for hours and don't know why it won't work. There's a red light on the motherboard when the power is turned on. Is that a sign that something's wrong?

I think the red light is just saying that there is power going through the motherboard.  Could be a bios error.  If you are using the on-board  graphics chip, try plugging in a separate graphics card into the PCI-E slot and use that for graphics.  If the graphics still don't show up, then it's something with the motherboard, not enough power, ram error or processor fail.

Question 6

How does this motherboard support 7.1 audio channels? I purchased the Razor Tiamat 7.1 headset and I need 7 jacks for the 7.1 surround sound (this motherboard only has 3 jacks for audio in the back). I don't see myself connecting an internal soundcard as there is no space because my graphics card covers all the pci slots. I know there are external usb soundcards but I prefer a card I can connect with pci.

You need to install the software, then you'll need to use the front panel jacks in addition to the rear panel ones.  This may not be feasible with a headset.  My own tests with this board found no performance deficits, making it fine for a budget rig, BUT it is rather short on features.

Question 7

What NIC card fits in this motherboard?

You can use any PCI Express x1 card in this board.  Note that you'd only do this if you want wireless networking, as this motherboard (like most) already has an onboard network interface with a standard RJ-45 Ethernet connector.
