Does the stand allow the monitor to swivel to vertical or would I need to buy something separate for that?

The stand allows the monitor to swivel -45° to 45°, tilt from -5° to 20°, and adjust the height up to 130mm. However, it does not mention the ability to rotate the monitor to a vertical position, so you may need to buy a separate stand for that.

Question 2

Can the company clarify?  The photo showing the connectors shows "2 x HDMI 1.4"  But, under the specs it shows "2 x HDMI 2.0"  Is the HDMI 1.4 or 2.0?  I'm trying to figure out which connector to use since it comes with a DP and HDMI cable -  but no power cable......

I just ordered this for the ultra-wide aspect.  I see the title shows normal 1920 x 1080, but the description shows the ultrawide 2560 x 1080.  This is ultra-wide, correct?

The marketing says G-sync compatible, but does not mention freesync at all. Is this monitor Freesync with G-sync compatibility or only G-sync compatible?

This monitor has MSI's adaptive sync (freesync) and is certified g-sync compatible per the Nvidia website.  Since i can't post the link, on their website click on products, and then in the first column, click on g-sync monitors.  On the page you get sent to, scroll down until you can click on the button that says "See all monitors".  The MAG301RF is listed as certified g-sync compatible.

To work with g-sync, you have to make sure your drivers are updated to at least 466.11 or newer.

Also, the product description here on newegg is misleading.  There is no native usb-c support on this monitor, only 2 usb-a and 1 usb-b for downstream connection to the PC.  Also, Newegg shows the 2 HDMI ports as 1.4.  That is also incorrect, the HDMI on this monitor are 2.0
