I need to know if this monitor has internal speakers and for what is the small round connector, Audio out or Audio input?

no internal speakers and no clue to what port you are speaking about, sorry.. still very happy with this monitor though.. running like a champ.. and 40" is 40" (huge)

How high is the bottom of the monitor from the desk surface when on the stand?

When the screen is straight up and down the bottom of the monitor is is 4-1/4" above the desk surface - tilt the screen and the distance increases to 5" at a better viewing angle

Does the USB C connection act as hub for the other USB A ports or do you have to use the USB-B port?

you use the USB-B type as the usb passthru.. that's been VERY standard for like ever..
