Hi, my motherboard is a PCI Express x16, could a PCI Express 2.0 x16 fit into my PCI Express x16? Thanks.

Yep. Same slot. The only difference is the speed of the PCI express memory bus but this card giant big enough for you to ever tell.  Itll be reduced to 10x16 but again this card isnt beast enough for there to be a performance hit. FYI don't try it on arch Linux :)

Question 2

is this compatible for Gateway Model GM5420 with OEM hardware 300W power supply?  Not for gaming but DVR video playback on 46" flat screen tv through tuner in PC.  I have add in slot for One PCI Express x 16 card. Would like the best graphics without upgrading PS.  thanks

Make sure you have an available PCIe2x16 slot on your motherboard. Its spec sheets recommend a minimum 350W power supply (min 12V current rating of 36A). In case you wish to try your luck, a 300W PC could just work if you don't have anything else attached to it aside from an internal hard drive. Most newer TV's have only HDMI connectors (like mine) so make sure you have a DVI-to-HDMI adapter around.

Will this graphics card handle dual independent monitoring?

Yes. That's what I bought this card to do. It is currently in a workstation handling two 24" LED monitors each with separate desktops for the machine.

is this card any good for gaming on low settings? looking for compatability for some older ish games, like mass effect the sims and sim city. maybe borderlands.

Mine was dead when I got it so I tossed it in the recycle. Returning it to NewEgg would be more trouble that it was worth. But no, I wouldn't recommend it for gaming except Farmville. Nothing the 64-bit interface? Bottleneck. You want a 128-bit or better card.

I bought the card to use it in a SQL Server 2012 (Core) build. It's all Command Line so no need for a better card.

Is this compatible with an ASROC H61M-VG3?

I've not use that particular board, but I have put that card  in several systems with no problems.
