My pc is has 500 watt power...but can this work?

Yes, 500 should be enough to power it as long as all your other components don't exceed your 500watt power supply already. But in most cases noone really uses all of their allocated power wattage.

Question 2

Would this be compatible with a Dell XPS 8100?  And if so, are there any limiting compatibility factors that would prevent me from accessing the card's full potential?

From your computers specs I believe it will  fit in your pcie slot. If your computer came with a graphics card, you would replace the old with this card. However, the 350 watt powersuply May not be sufficient to power both your processor and card. 
Looking on the computer manufacturers website, I was unsure of the usage by the processor. The computer I built this card into has a 650w power supply. That build has been running flawlesly for 4 months. 
Also the computer specs only mentioned that it had the required slot. The technology of pcie 3 May be greater than that of your machiene, thus you would get possible lesser performance. This should be only of minor impact if you are only looking to upgrade the graphics card.

I was wondering if I need to worry about my power supply? and if this specific card will be able to fit in the tower?

It should fit, it has the right interface just make sure you have two panels to knock off the back.

as for the power that's tricky. It depends on how much wattage everything on your computer is using (including mouse and keyboard). It looks like this computer of yours uses a MSI Geforce GT 620. if that's the case then you need to be careful because the 650 graphics card takes twice the wattage as the 620. you'll need to determine how much wattage your computer uses. this can be done two ways. The first and most accurate way is to look up the datasheets for every component connected to your power supply (including components connected by USB, VGA, and so on) and add up all the maximum wattage's. if you do that and the maximum wattage is much less then 300 watts then you'll be fine. The other way is go to pcpartpicker .com and put in all the components you have in your computer and it will make a reasonable estimate for you on what the wattage will be (and its free).

or if you wanna be lazy just buy a good 350 watt power supply and that will be enough. it will probably be cheaper to determine the wattage though lol.

I have a desktop pc Acer Aspire x1420g-u5832. The power supply is 220 watts. I want to know is this graphic card can work with my pc?

The minimum recommended power supply for this GPU is 400W. In addition to a bigger power supply, I would highly recommend measuring the clearance inside your existing PC case against this GPU's specifications to be sure it fits. If you don't need a new case, use any available mounts to improve cooling. Mount power supply so it pulls air in from bottom of case and exhausts it out the back if possible.

is compatible vga pcie 3.0 on 1.1 pcie slot?

To get the full benefits of PCIe 3.0 your motherboard would need to have a PCIe 3 X16 slot. A quick look at your motherboards manual didn't have any mention of PCIe 3 I could find. I would probably research a slightly more up-to-date motherboard that would take your existing memory/cpu. I believe there are slight voltage differences between the PCIe standards and I would have to refer you to the manufacturer's to be sure.

Screen tearing is actually largely dependent on your monitor. It doesn't have much to do with graphics but rather framerate. If your monitor has too low of a refresh rate no matter what the quality of your video card you will still experience screen tearing at high framerate

Hey guys, I'd like to upgrade my graphics card. I currently have a nvidia geforce gt 610 1gb. The rest of my specs are amd fx-4200 3.3 ghZ, 4gb ddr3, 1 tb hdd, and a 300 watt power supply. I saw this graphics card and all of the review seemed pretty positive and it seemed like a good deal. My question is do I have to upgrade my power supply to run this graphics card? Does this card run all the latest games at medium to high setting? That is all, thanks for the help!

I have been runnning this graphics card along with 6 gb ram and an athlon II (2.9ghz) for about 6 months now and as for power i have a 500w power supply. It requires 2 molex power connectors to plug it in. As for performance i have been able to run bf4 on medium settings and titanfall on medium to high settings. I run other games like borderlands 2, Skyrim, Space Engineers, The witcher series, Mass Effect series, and Bioshock Infinite on high settings.

is this compatible with mac pro desktop early 2008?

not totally sure if it will work with a mac pro but I put one in the mac tower I built and it worked out of the box, and my specs register as a mac pro 2008
