Does it work for gaming consoles such as PS 4 , or Switch?

No... Gaming consoles are built to function on one display device such as your television. Unlike in Microsoft Windows, you cannot configure additional display devices on an Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo console's operating systems. I have to say, not sure what the practical reasoning is to even want your console to work on more than one display.. it's not like you can have another program or application running on the additional display like you can on a Windows desktop environment...

Does the monitor remember the OSD settings when shutting off/on?

I want to say for the most part. I've had the brightness reset when unplugging it from any power source, but I think it does remember some settings.

Will this monitor work with an HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC?

Yes, you have a standard HDMI output on your laptop so you'll need an HDMI to HDMI-mini cable to plug this monitor in. The monitor also comes with an USB-C to USB-A cable but if you're like me you'll want to order yourself a longer one for some extra range.

Yes. The case is magnetically connected to the monitor.

Not touch screen and not self orienting, but it is a great gaming monitor that works off of the laptop' s USB power source.. I love this and use it daily.

Can you use monitor on own for gaming without being plugged into laptop?

It must be plugged into a power source using the USB cable, it doesn't necessarily have to be a laptop.  I plug this monitor directly into my Nintendo Switch docking station or Xbox and it is powered from there.

Question is, will this work as a single monitor for say... a switch or a PS4 it's due to my low physical space issue...?

It should (it has an HDMI port, but I would not recommend it for that. It stands up using a folding leather cover that takes up more space than my other monitors when setup.

Question 9

Is there a possibility of vertically rotating the screen (for writing code)? I see I will need a new stand to rotate the monitor physically, but can the screen (the digital output itself)  be rotated vertically by software?

Yes, at least in Linux/Windows you can change the orientation of the screen for coding. I've used it like this, and the stand works well for this on the go. Be aware this does not have mounting hardware and it seems it's intended for this to be used while traveling (why I bought it).

How well does this does this work for CAD? Has anyone tried it with SolidWorks or CATIA?

Works just like any other 1080p monitor! Should support CAD just fine, as long as you're ok working in 1080p.
