I think you're talking about the power jack above the PCIe slot and near the bottom of the left memory slots. This is just PCIe power, presumably keep the m.2 slots (and maybe normal PCIe slots) running as intended.

will this support 3 M.2 drives in a raid 5?

The only arrays that are specifically listed as being supported are 0, 1, and 10.
This is with that latest BIOS and raid drivers installed.

I have 3 M.2 drives on the MOBO but for dual boot (Linux and Windows) Not raid.

What power supply unit is compatible with this motherboard? I tried using the previous generation corsair CX 750 and that does not have the second CPU power cable.

I am using Corsair AX1200i. It does have the main 24pin board power cable and 2x 8 pin CPU cables (one CPU cable is actually 4pin+4pin).

Which M2 drives are compatible with this MB?  The one I bought would only fit into one slot (screw location) so I don't want to buy a second before knowing it will fit.

- M2_1, M2_3 slots support 2242/ 2260 /2280 storage devices
- M2_2 slot supports 2242/ 2260 /2280/ 22110 storage devices

Most all M.2 SSDs and M.2 NVMe drives are 2280 mm form factor = 22 mm wide x 80 mm long.

anyone with this board have more to plug in than just JUSB1 and JUSB2? Where to you plug in usb accessories to this mobo like fan lighting controllers?

Internal USB space is tight.  Most people using a TR will have a closed loop cooler that will take up one of the USB slots.  Your case may also use one (my case required both an internal usb2 port and an internal usb3, which the board has).

Your best bet is to pair this board with a NZXT internal usb hub if you require the additional ports.

What CMOS battery does this motherboard use? It's not in the manual.

I actually don't see a cmos battery on the board, could be buried under one of the cover plates somewhere.  I bet it's just a standard CR2032.  The board has a bios reset button on the board, so you don't need to remove the battery to reset the bios or anything anymore.

What PSU wattage would you recommend for this mobo (2 EPS cables) and for threadripper in general?

I went with 750, but am only doing a single graphics card. If you think SLI is in your future, or Vega (it's a power hog), you may want to look 850-1k+

According to MSI, supports Windows 8.1 (32 / 64) & Windows 10 (32 / 64). No Drivers for Windows 7.
