I've read in a few reviews that the 7790 requires it's own specific drivers, is this true? Can I not use the standard Radeon driver?

All of ATI Radeon cards use the standard drivers from the AMD website.

There might be some other software like Afterburner (a over-clocking software)  that you will have to get separately from MSI, but the drivers are not unique to the card.

ATI/AMD drivers already have their own overclocking software built into the drivers, not something you would majorly need.

Dose this card include the required cables to CrossFire ?

As I recall, it was not included. There was a power adapter, a DVI / VGA adapter, and a disc with software. I don't recall any extra items.

What is the power supply requirements for this card?

You need a 3x2 (6pin), one needed for this card and a pci express slot. Depending on the comp, the power supply wattages can change, but this card does not need a lot.  Running a ~300 watt just fine with this card.

I cannot install this card; have a black screen when computer boots. 
Did somebody have similar issue? If yes what is the solution 
I have Hp desktop p7
A10-5700 APU with Radeon HD Graphics.
8 gb ram.  Mother board do not know if needed can post next time.

What is the monitor cable hooked up to? The graphics card or the integrated video? See if the other one works. Sometimes the motherboard has to be set to accept the card as the output for the graphics to the monitor.

If this is the issue, say the integrated graphics work. Go into your motherboard bios and set up the pci-e slot as your graphics output. Reboot the machine and swap the cable to the graphics card.

Otherwise, you'll need to go online and find more info and see if you can get this resolved.

will it drive a 2560x1440 monitor with a DVI-D dual link connection?

For that kind of resolution, a dual gpu solution with more memory is going to be a better way to go. This card isn't underpowered for 1080p gaming, but if you've already paid the premium for a 1440 monitor, you should at least think about spending a similar amount on the graphics card. That said, Skyrim looks really good at 1920x1080 with the 7790. Also consider that the 7790 uses its own driver which has not been updated since April 2013, so hardware compatibility will probably be better with another chip which can make use of AMD's driver updates. how does this work with a trinity set-up?...is there any real gain...or will this just take over the job of the apu's graphical abilities?

as I understand none of the trinity APU's are designed to work in Crossfire with the 7790 so this would just take over for the graphics on the APU..however with enough system Ram this and a high end apu would still render much better than the APU alone

how can i set up a second monitor with this card? it doesnt detect my second monitor when i plug it in to the dvi-d port?

2 monitors DVI
Set the first monitor up then plug in and set up #2 
All done through AMD vision or Nvidia software
