Can this card be overclocked? How do I do that, and what can I push it to?

Hello Zach,

Just about every graphics card can be overclocked using an overclocking tool like MSI Afterburner to manually adjust the clock speed of the graphics card.  As for how far you can push the card, that is dependent on the specific unit you get.  Not all units are created equally:  This is something you want to keep in mind because often you will see youtubers claim that their RX 580 can reach certain clock speeds but fail to mention that you might not get the same results even if you have the exact same specific card that they do.

This is because the silicon used for each GPU varies in quality, this is commonly referred to as the "silicon lottery".  You will need to look on online forums where other users that have this card have posted their overclocking results so that they can show you just about what you can expect (but remember you might not be able to get those same numbers with your card).

It can but that would also be assuming your system has a Blu-ray Drive and a compatible media player (like VLC Media Player) installed on your computer in order to playback High Definition content via Blu-Ray discs.  Hope this helps!

Why is this so much cheaper than other 580s with 8gb?

Based on pic, this is V1 w/ only 1 fan w/ cover, 1 HDMI & 3 DP. Other cards have 2 fans & at least 1 more DVI connector in addition to the usual ports. So there is cost efficiency if MSI improves thermal distribution effectively. Guessing only. FYI I'm a uWave Design Engineer so I know something about design. I'm also looking to buy this card.

No, it's just single fan. The shroud on the top and bottom (above/below the fan) have openings for air dissipation.
