Will this power supply work with this particular card? Corsair CXM Series 750M 750 watt power supply?

Yes. The Corsair power supply you have identified has (4)  6+2 PCIE connectors.  You will use (2) of them to connect to this graphics card.  Assuming that you don't have some other huge power hungry devices in your rig, this power supply should easily be able to handle this graphics card with plenty to spare.

Cheverolet made a "Vega" and it didn't turn out so well. The name scares me for that reason lol. But my question is are the Vega cards that much better than the RX 580?

Ha, too funny.  It depends on what you are wanting to do with it.  For gaming I have no idea.

For mining, the hashrate for a Rx 580 is around 600-800 h/s with Cryptonight algos, depending BIOS mods, and overclocking you perform.

For mining with Vega 56s, the hashrate is 1900-2000 h/s with the right overclocking settings on Cryptonight algo.

Question 3

I'm running a dual boot machine. If I make changes to the clock speed or fan profile of this Vega card, are those changes persistent when booting into another OS that doesn't have the Windows drivers and utilities?

That would depend on how you changed the settings. If you used a program such as MSI afterburner, then no it would not be persistent through dual boots. But if you did it through the bios then that would.

Question 4

Does anybody know if this has the samsung memory vs. the hynix memory?  A review on geeks3d dot com seems to show it has the samsung memory, but one of the reviewers on this site is implying it has the hynix.

I wouldn't know how to tell however this card performs as well as my early reference cards that do have the Samsung memory. I use my msi for mining mostly and it consistently pulls 1960hs on the crypto night ago at 140w. I haven't got a game that would make the card struggle.

There are two 8-pin power connectors.  Do both need to be connected to the PSU are just one of them?

Possibly. I found that this card behaves well with Undervolting, but when pushed and air-cooled a 650 is the minimum I could reliably run.

Can one card drive 3 4k monitors?

In 2D, yes.  You should be able to run 3 screens on the desktop with one Vega56.  Just don’t expect to run games on all 3 monitors in 4K.  You might get away with 720p with some sacrifices if your game is capable of running on 3 monitors.
