Pros: Connects 2 fans to 1 header. Seems well constructed.
Cons: Has RPM sensor wire going to both fans. Should only go to one fan, especially if they are different models and/or speeds. This causes the readings to jump all over the place.
Cut one of the yellow wires, problem solved.
Overall Review: I don't think the multiple speed readings will hurt the motherboard, it is the amperage draw needed for the fans that is the danger. Currently using for two 120mm fans and holding up so far.
Just ordered another one as it is now $1 off and free shipping.
Pros: Connect one end to motherboard, then plug in two fans to the connectors. Simple as that.
Cons: Expensive for what they are, but these little adapters tend to be expensive. Only about 4 inches long, but fans should have long enough cables to reach wherever they are mounted
Overall Review: Make sure you check with motherboard manufacture on the capacity of the fan headers. Most will only support up to 1 amp. I have two fans plugged into this splitter, and both are rated at .2 amps for a total of .4 amps per header. I made sure when shopping for fans that I did not get high power ones.
Pros: Its cheap, it works
Cons: Sends RPM from both fans to the mobo, so your motherboard wont have a good idea how fast the fans are going, particularly if connected to fans of a different size. I figured that this would be the case before I bought the cable, so I don't care. It might bug people who want variable fan speeds though.
Pros: I love cables ~ the more the merrier!
Cons: I hate cables ~ when will there be Bluetooth fans?
Pros: Works immediately.
Inexpensive when on sale
The right length
Cons: It would be nice if the female end of the cable was the fully encapsulated kind instead of being mostly exposed.
Overall Review: I usually order 2 sets of cables/wires working on the assumption one of them will be dead on arrival or break within a few weeks. So far so good on both of these.
Pros: These work as advertised and will power those additional computer fans without a problem. This splits the power coming from the mobo to the two fans per cable.
Cons: Difficult to tell what the fan RPM speed is and to actually control fan speed due to two different fans with one connector pin. The computer doesn't always know how fast the fans are spinning, but they are never out of control.
Overall Review: The fact that the cables are colored can be a good or bad thing depending on what you want from these. The colors help you determine which wire does what, but will also mess up any color schemes you may be working towards if your computer has a window.
Pros: Works as advertised, allows me to use both fans that came with the Rosewill Redbone
Cons: Could be cheaper...
Pros: it makes 2 fans work with 1 connection
