Apple phones are made in China, so does it make a difference? People are under the impression that certain countries make cheap garbage, and they do, including the USA. China makes all kinds of products to whatever specifications a company wants. I buy my butter from Europe, because they don't use GMO and glyphosate or grains in their milk cows. I will buy a Japanese car over an American car every day of the week. Not because I don't like American made products, but because superior technology generally goes into Japanese vehicles even though they may be assembled in Canada, Mexico, The U.S., etc. Now, if you want to know about the quality of this device, I have had it for about 8 months now and have never had any issues. On UserBenchMark, my computer gets a UFO rating all all three aspects, but this 2TB Mushkin drive is performing below the average. I don't know why, but it is far faster than I will ever need. So, while I don't care where it's made, I do care about getting my money's worth. I would buy this item again. I also have the Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 2TB PCI-Express 3.0 in another computer. I would buy either one again.
